by Quinn A. Loftis

Paperback(New Edition)

Jaque Pierce was a typical seventeen-year-old Southern girl, enjoying the summer before her senior year of high school in Coldspring, TX. But when a mysterious foreign exchange student from Romania moves in across the street, Jacque and her two best friends, Sally and Jen, soon realize the last two weeks of their summer break are about to get a lot more interesting. From the moment Jacque sets eyes on Fane, she feels and instant connection, a pull like a moth to a flame. Little does she know, the flame to which she is drawn is actually a Canis lupus-a werewolf-and she just happens to be his true mate, the other half of his soul. She also doesn't realize Fane isn't the only wolf in Coldspring. Just as Fane and Jacque are getting to know each other, another Canis lupus reveals himself and tries to claim Jacque as his own. Fane will now have to fight a crazed Alpha for the right to complete the mating bond, something that is his right by birth. Far from home, in a foreign wolf's territory, Fane will have to rely on the love he has for Jacque to give him the strength to defeat his enemy, a deadly wolf hell-bent on proving Jacque belongs to him.

The first time I read this book I became immersed in the story. The second time, even knowing how it would end, was no different. This book grabs your attention from page one and never lets you go. I could not put this book down even to go to bed. I would be reading and my eyes would begin to close. Then a few minutes later I would wake up and realize I had fallen asleep just to do the same again two or three pages later. Jacque Pierece is just like any other seventeen year old girl, she has had boyfriends who broke her heart and best friends she couldn't live without. She is sarcastic and comical. Then you have her best friends Jennifer Adams and Sally Morgan. Jen is the typical smart alec. She is witty, clever, and can make any moment unforgettable. Sally is the girl just trying to keep everyone in check while still throwing out lively comments when deemed appropriate. And then you have the foreign exchange student, Fane. He is protective, jealous, and madly in love with Jacque. I found myself to be jealous on occasion of the relationship Jacque has with Jen and Sally. Their personalities play off each other so well and there is never a dull moment. When Jacque receives life changing information her sidekicks are there to reduce tension in the room and make the mood lighter. They are the ultimate friends. Quinn Loftis allows the reader to get perspective from both sides of the new, budding relationship between Jacque and Fane by changing the narrator from chapter to chapter. I found this to be a great way to not only get to know both characters, but to see what happened when one of them was not with the other. This book ends at a great stopping point. Any further and we wouldn't have Blood Rites. Overall, this is a great book that looks at the werewolf legends from a different angle. Review originally posted at Doodle's Book Blog

Oh Holy Romanian Werewolves!! This book was so freakin’ good! I’ll admit werewolves have never been my favorite; I’m not really a “dog person”. But when they are as sexy as Fane and speak with a Romanian accent, I am hooked! Not to mention he has impeccable manners that are almost unheard of these days. Whew, I’m getting a little light-headed just thinking about Fane so I better move on. Jacque is just awesome. She’s got quite a mouth on her and doesn’t take crap from anybody. And her two best friends had me laughing through the whole book! They are all fiercely loyal and true. They stand by each other through anything, no matter how crazy the situation gets. I could go on and on about the things I loved but honestly I am dying to get started on the next book in this series so you will just have to read it & see how awesome it is! And put aside a few hours because you won’t be able to stop once you get started!

The author begins an amazing new teen/mid adult paranormal fantasy by spinning the first tale of a well-balanced, well-written and well-rounded characters in the first of the Grey Wolves Series. This book provided friendship, romance, action, and family all rolled into one book that spins an interesting story for readers like us, between two families combining into one. If you are looking for an interesting story with very likable characters and a story that twists and turns in multiple directions with different characters, this is the book to read! The series starts with a normal teenage girl and her two friends, but when the neighbor boy moves in, her life changes forever. After continuing the series, each book contains the same characters, but adds other new villains and funny, sarcastic characters that make you laugh out-loud. While sometimes the change in character is suspenseful and adds many cliff-hangers, the author does an amazing job with character development. This is a good series to start from the beginning, starting with The Grey Wolves Series, and picking up the addition series Gypsy Healers series. At a low price and many pages to turn, this book is one to read! Books in order: Prince of Wolves Grey Wolves Series #1 Blood Rites Grey Wolves Series #2 Just One Drop Grey Wolves Series #3 Out of the Dark Grey Wolves Series #4 Beyond the Veil Grey Wolves Series #5 Fate and Fury Grey Wolves Series #6 Sacrifice of Love Grey Wolves Series #7 Luna of Mine Grey Wolves Series #8 Piercing Silence Grey Wolves Novel Volume #1 Den of Sorrows Grey Wolves Series #9 The Burning Claw Grey Wolves Series #10 Resounding Silence Grey Wolves Novel Volume #2 Forgotten Silence Grey Wolves Novel Volume #3 The spin-off series about our favorite characters Sally and her band of strong gypsy healers continues in: Into the Fae The Gypsy Healers #1 Wolf of Stone The Gypsy Healers #2 Jewel of Darkness The Gypsy Healers #3 Wolves of Wrath The Gypsy Healers #4

It was rather predictable and frankly with all the good reviews I was a little let down within a few minutes of reading. I liked the book but some of the imagery was boring. It was a good read but not the best.

This is my favorite series ever! I have read this twice already and could read it again. Jacque is this ordinary girl that lives with her mother. She has two of the best friends ever, Sally and Jennifer. When a transfer student from Romania, Fane, moves in across the street, Jacque's world as she knows it is about to change. Fane is her mate, and better yet he is a prince! Better yet, he is not only a prince but a huge hunk of hotness werewolf. This story only gets better from here on and this is just the beginning. I loved this book, not only because of the story but the relationships between Jacque and her friends but the relationship between Jacque and Fane. Jacque and Fane go through many hardships to be together, and fight they do. I guarantee that you will love this book and will be excited to read the next book, Just One Drop. I know I was. I will read anything Quinn writes, even if it's not the Prince of Wolves series. She has great talent of making you laugh, cry and sigh throughout the book. I know she can make you do that with any story she writes. Quinn is definitely my number one favorite author. Enjoy!

I loved this book. This book will make you laugh and it will make you cry there is no way around it. It is a heart wrenching YA love story that has fire and passion but it great for the young readers. Another book I cannot wait to share with my daughters and wish there was an AR test to go with it.

I got this book when it was free and took a chance. I didn't even read the synapsis I just liked the cover and i got it. Like i said, It was free at the time so I didn't really expect much of a good read. When I started to to read I was thoroughly surprised at the quality of the book. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as i did. Except for a few grammatical and spelling errors, it was an overall easy read. The character's were well developed and the storyline was intoxicating. If you like werewolve's, romance and understand sarcasm then this is the book for you. It wasn''t one of those books that make you stay up all night because you're dying to know what happens but, it is one of those books that you are reluctant to put down. A way to tell if a book is good is if it evokes alot of emotion out of the reader. At time's I felt sympathy for the main pair, and frustration for the objects that kept getting in the way of their happily ever after. I often found myself laughing at the sense of humor each of the girl's displayed. The author did a really good job making sure the reader was entertained with a good storyline and life-like characters.
