About the Author

Daphne Len Ben AKA Queenie, was born on
September 27, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan.
She lived there until the age of 11 when
her family transferred to Kalamazoo,
Michigan in 1975. She is a graduate of
Loy Norrix High School in 1982. Queenie
received two master’s degrees in
Healthcare Administration and in Business
Administration with a specialty in Human
Resource Management. She has a bachelor’s
degree in Applied Science, is licensed as
a Respecting Choice Facilitator, and is
a Health Insurance Specialist. Queenie
recently retired from Bronson Hospital
after 40 years of dedicated service in various positions. She is a patient
advocate and advocates for change and justice.
Queenie is a breast cancer survivor and educator, owner and operator
of Queenie’s Vegan Dog Food and Treats,
a master gardener, and an aspiring artist. She is a grandmother of six,
mother of four, loving wife to Allray Ben, and proud daughter of Mary
Johnson.
Queenie believes that sharing knowledge with everyone encourages,
enables, and empowers people to grow beyond their imagination.
Children are our future and the more we inspire, support, and allow
them to be a sponge they will be more well-rounded. It is okay to
let children learn about all cultures and understand differences and
similarities. Now let’s go save the world! This is the 1st book of a 4-book
series.
