About the Author

Mary A. Clark was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Her family moved to Florida, where she spent her formative years. She graduated from Rutgers-Newark College of Arts & Sciences. After college, she moved to New York City. In the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of midtown Manhattan, she worked for several community organizations.
