Paul Buhle, an officer of a local Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) in his teenage years, has been active in social movements since that time and has contributed to many publications, including theNation, the Guardian, Journal of American History, San Francisco Chronicle, Chronicle of Higher Education, and Village Voice. Retired as senior lecturer at Brown University, he has written or edited more than forty books, including biographies of William Appleman Williams and C. L. R. James. His graphic works have included comic art adaptations of works by Studs Terkel and Howard Zinn. He lives in Madison, Wisconsin.

Sabrina Jones began creating comics on social justice for the comics anthology World War 3 Illustrated. She has worked with Paul Buhle on radical history titles such as Wobblies! A Graphic History of the Industrial Workers of the World, Isadora Duncan: A Graphic Biography, Studs Terkel's Working, FDR and the New Deal for Beginners, Yiddishkeit and Bohemians. She shed graphic light on justice issues for the Real Cost of Prisons Project and Race to Incarcerate: A Graphic Retelling. Sabrina is a member of New York City's Fifteenth Street Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) where she facilitates a Bible study group and volunteers at a homeless shelter.

Gary Dumm, a frequent collaborator with the late Harvey Pekar, was the principal artist for Students for a Democratic Society: a Graphic History and has contributed to many comic art anthologies including The Beats, Studs Terkel' Working: a Graphic Adaptation and Yiddishkeit. He is currently working assiduously to complete A Simple, Ordinary Man, Scott MacGregor's historical epic concerning race relations, fresh water, and workers rights in Cleveland, Ohio, circa 1916. His work has also been published in Cleveland newspapers, the New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, and France's Le Monde. His wife and colorist Laura Dumm, a painter and book designer, has added color to many of his comic projects. They live in Cleveland, Ohio.

Nick Thorkelson is a veteran community activist and comic artist with contributions to many anthologies. The Underhanded History of the USA (in collaboration with Jim O'Brien) was a full-length counter-history to mainstream versions.
