There is a ray of light inside a heartbeat pulsing across the vast and infinite sky above you. Can you see and feel it? It is a challenge in our Western society to link into the sacred science that replenishes the strength of our whole being— mind, body, and spirit— so we can be carried across the challenging oceans we face as women in our effort to recover the value and honor we deserve in life. Honoring Dr. Wayne Dyer
I find it fitting to honor Dr. Dyer as the first of the "masters of our time" I'll feature throughout this book. Words cannot really capture how grateful I am that the powers that be guided me to his work. His teaching became a lifeline that soothed me in the dark and pulled me toward the light of knowing the sweet comfort of magic and miracles in life. I have taken these insights and blended them with a powerful concoction of divinely downloaded and sacred insights that have been given to me to create the magic potions I share inside the pages of this book and in my REAL Beautiful Movement. I'm introducing the idea that magic exists in life early in my book for a few reasons: first, to begin the transformation required for you to be comfortable with the topic, as it underpins every chapter in this book; second, because exposing you to this idea begins the process of infusion of the belief into every cell in your body; and third, to foreshadow the magic and miracles that will come to you as you come to know the secret energy and sacred science inside your human design and in the universe that I uncover for you in this book.
Synchronicity and Miracles
It was synchronistic that Dr. Dyer's book Real Magic: Creating Miracles in Everyday Life fell from a community library bookshelf to my feet almost eighteen years ago. I was methodically and systematically pulling books out from the bookshelf that day just far enough to expose the covers and titles and long enough to evaluate the book's usefulness. If the book had no relevance, it was easily and quickly shifted back into its place on the shelf. This efficient process I developed helped me scan through multiple books at a fast pace. The flow of this process became interrupted by a significant thud as a hard-covered book fell off the shelf onto the ground before me. It was a mystical prodding and message for me to take note of the book, as if someone else placed it in my hands on purpose. It was difficult to explain at the time, but I knew without a doubt that this book had made a grand entrance into my life for a reason.
From all of my research, study, and understanding of the possibilities for magic to show up in life, I had plenty of examples of the miraculous things that could take place from moment to moment in daily life, as Dr. Dyer teaches. As the book fell from the shelf that day, I had already been practicing and applying some energy techniques taught to me by a counselor I was seeing to support me through the loss and changes that were happening in my life. She was untraditional in her approach as she guided me to play with the energy in and around me. She was the first teacher who brought awareness to me that I was made of energy and so was everything outside of me.
I was delighted at some of the exciting things that were happening as a result of the further insights I was gaining on my own and from Dr. Dyer's book Real Magic: Creating Miracles in Everyday Life. I found a hundred dollars one day, and then interestingly enough, again while writing this book. I was finding parking spots up front in crowded parking lots. I bought a house without a down payment. I was offered a position in research that supported my life better as I adjusted to being a single mother. Roses showed up at my doorstep after I said a magical prayer given to me by my mother just before her death. Money showed up in my mailbox unexpectedly. Initially when I opened Dr. Dyer's book, I recognized I had unknowingly read one of his earlier books, Pulling Your Own Strings, when I was thirteen years old. A warm chill spiraled inside my body in that moment because I knew I had been divinely guided to his teachings. This feeling inside of me marked the beginning of my conscious connection to spirit, an introduction to a lifelong guru, but it also guided me to continue to seek out the higher insights and knowledge of many more experts and masters across time. As I combined all of these higher ways of knowing with my own personal sacred insights and experiences over time, I began to magically and synergistically create the changes I wanted to see in my life!
The Power of Intention
After I read The Power of Intention by Dr. Dyer, another great literary work of his, I decided to apply his teaching from that book and from Real Magic: Creating Miracles in Everyday Life, along with some of my own secrets and I set an intention to meet him. And so I did. When I met Dr. Dyer in Toronto in 2001, I held my copy of his book Your Sacred Self in my hands. When it came time for me to meet him, he took both of my hands in his. I told him I was grateful for all of the wisdom his teachings had brought to my life. He took the book from my hands and placed his signature across the title on the inside pages of the book, and then he looked up at me and said, "You have a beautiful aura." From one energy lover to another, I was honored by his compliment! I was also further awakening to a brilliant power inside of me that was 'outside the box' of conventional thinking, yet had me intrigued to take note of the mystical information I seemed to naturally be in tune with around me even beyond this book. I began to sharpen my senses to the world of energy that spoke to me in a language I knew many people around me didn't understand.
REAL Beautiful Gifts
After the intense research and study I completed on the topic of magic, miracles, sacred practices, technologies, and insights for this book, I have no doubt—just like Dr. Dyer and millions of others—that magic and miracles do exist in life. A REAL Beautiful Truth
There is an infinite mystery inside us that, once realized, changes us forever. We begin to create and manifest our being and our world as if holding a magic wand with unlimited miracles waiting to be performed. We feel powerful and connected to the voice that calls us back to the truth. We become wiser, and mind, body, and spirit transform and heal. Beauty and knowing flow in and out of every cell inside us and intuitively blend with the energy that dances in the universe. We hear clearly the voice of our innate goddess, who lifts us up so we can see the honor, reverence, power, and uniqueness our gender holds—as it was always meant to be. And then we know we have experienced what I call living and being "REAL Beautiful."

My Story
I believe my mother knew all along, even before I did, that I was a healer at heart. I am grateful for her insight and her gentle prodding that inspired me to become educated in nursing before her unfortunate death in 1989. I have lived half of my life now without my mother in the physical sense of the word—but as you will learn in this book, I have been guided by her spirit since her death.
Although my mother guided me to the nursing profession, it has been my passion for caring and the desire to heal that has kept me studying and practicing in this medical field. Along this journey, I have come to realize that we are all healers, but only to the extent that we are able to understand the power each human mind, body, and spirit owns as a result of its nature and design. This power extends beyond our ability to heal ourselves and others. The same power allows us to create self-love, beauty, bliss, peace, success, abundance, and even magic and miracles if we choose. When we master creating these things in our lives, we experience living and being REAL Beautiful in mind, body, and spirit.
