Recent Trends in Environmental Pollution and its Impact on Human Health

Pollution refers to the negative impact of human activity on the environment, posing risks to human health, ecosystems, and economic growth. Environmental sciences, an interdisciplinary field, investigates the influence of humans on the environment and solutions to solve problems.

The present book encompassing ten chapters covers the impacts of aerosol, and bioaerosol pollution, ozone and black carbon, micro plastics on marine life, rare earth elements, the environmental impact of energy production, heavy metal pollution, Wastewater Treatment, and the influence of Biogenic Volatile Organic Compounds on health and environment in a single overarching scientific theme.

Features:

  • The book provides up to date information on various types of pollution and methods of their mitigation/remediation.
  • For anyone with a curiosity for environmental biology, environmental science, or environmental studies, this is a desk reference.
  • New innovations and data are accounted for and included.
  • This book is intended not only to Research Scientists, Engineers, Biologists and Chemists but also to layman and policy makers.
  • The book not only engages the fundamentals of environmental science but also demonstrates to the general public how environmental science studies show methods of sustainability, environmental policies, economics, and personal choices.
