About the Author

Janet Kusterer is an Ellicott City local and author of Arcadia's Ellicott City: Then and Now. She has also written pieces on the community as a feature writer and columnist for the local newspaper, The View from Ellicott City. Additionally, she serves as the executive director and former president of Historic Ellicott City, Inc. She is also a board member of the Ellicott City Restoration Foundation and a member of Howard County Historical Society. Victoria Goeller coauthored Ellicott City: Now and Then. She serves as a board member of Historic Ellicott City, Inc. and the Ellicott City Restoration Foundation. She is also a member of the Howard County Historical Society, the Howard County Conservancy, Preservation Howard County and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
