About the Author

John Agan is a native an life-long resident of Minden, Louisiana. He earned a BA in History, an M.Ed. in Social Studies, and an MA in History from Louisiana Tech University. Currently he serves as instructor of History and Political Science at Bossier Parish Community College and is the official parish historian for Webster Parish, Louisiana. His column, "Echoes of Our Past" has appeared in the Minden Press-Herald for the past eight years. Agan is the author of three books on the history of Minden with Arcadia Publishing.
