Remembering Pinky: Vietnam War Hero
Remembering Pinky is the story of a poor boy who was born during the Great Depression and grew up in a single parent family in the Midwest. He enlisted in the army at a young age and was enjoying life as a husband and father when he was caught up in the Vietnam War. While on his second tour of duty, Sgt. Pinkston, though proud of his platoon and the esprit de corps of his men, realized the futility and lost cause of the war. He gave his life in an act of heroism, while performing his duties as a soldier, and left his family devastated by the loss.

Sgt. Pinkston's name appears on the Vietnam Wall in Washington D.C. along with over 58,000 others who gave their lives in service to their country. He will be forever missed by those who knew him and who grieve over his sacrifice.
