About the Author

James Paul Creswick was born in 1866 in Kingston on Thames, Surrey. He died in Hove on April 13th, 1947, aged 80. Paul was the oldest son and one of five children of James and Frances Creswick. His education is unknown. But, by 1901, Paul had successfully combined his employment in the insurance industry with writing; he had seven books published between 1895 and 1901. Over the next 10 years he had 10 additional books published while still working in the insurance industry. During WW I, Creswick had two roles: Commandant of Kent 33, a men’s detachment, and Chief Transport Officer for the County of Kent. He resumed writing in 1924, and published his last work in 1928.
