The world is being taken over by robots! There are robots that build towers, make cars, flip pancakes and play football. There are robots that travel deep under water, far into space, and into the most extreme danger zones. Some walk like a human, others fly like a bee, or swim like a turtle, or run like a dog. In this Level 2 reader, young readers will discover different kinds of robots: how they work, the jobs they do, and what exciting things they might do in the future. The book uses simple text and full-color photographs throughout.

Highly recommended!! Informative and engaging book! Gail Tuchman's skill as an author is evident in how seamlessly she communicates such complicated information to children (and young adults and adults alike)! It is quickly evident how much practical material is contained in this book. To Tuchman’s credit, the information is presented clearly and strategically to allow for expansive learning without a bombardment or overkill of facts. The reader is introduced to the wide world of robotic technology, and can embrace the breadth, scope, and future potential of robots in a fun, and non-overwhelming way. Children learn of the possibilities that robots hold, the presence of robots in various areas of the industrial, medical, science, and creative world. Most significantly, this book encourages each children to see without limit, with opportunity, and dream as far as his or her imagination can reach. Highly recommended!!
