About the Author

James Roark is an artist from Milwaukee WI. Growing up he found himself drawn to comic books and cartoons, and having a desire to create them. In the beginning of 2020 he decided that it was time to pursue his passion by creating his first children's book together with his girlfriend Sonia Backes. In July of 2020 they decided to go on an adventure of their own and moved to Michigan.

Sonia grew up on a small hobby farm just outside of Wild Rose, Wisconsin. The youngest of five children, she spent a lot of her spare time either reading or tagging along to play with her siblings in the woods. As an adult she still enjoys exploring the woods with her boyfriend James and discovering new books to read.
