Rogue Patrol is a thriller set in the 1970s and 2002. It is engaging and exciting mystery full of twists, involving the police, army and security forces.

1973 Northern Ireland: an evening patrol of the Parachute Regiment is out in 'Bandit Country' and a shot is fired. Fastforward to 2002; a body is discovered in a lake and Detective Sergeant Pat Connelly is appointed to head the investigation.

When he starts to make progress, MI5 arrive, and now the lives of the former soldiers involved are in danger; who wants them killed? On top of everything, someone is leaking information, and who's trying to cover it up?

Ray Palmer spent 11 years in the Paras serving in, Europe, Singapore and Northern Ireland until 1979.In 'Civvy Street' he briefly worked in security and met his future wife. As an accomplished musician (keyboards, clarinet, saxophone) he worked the clubs and developed his own stage act. He's also appeared in TV supporting roles, ironically, playing a Military Policeman in Soldier Soldier.

In 1993 he formed his own music retail business. He gained a Guinness world record in 2006 for the longest sustained note on a wind instrument. His hobbies: playing football, model railways, music, cooking and writing.
