Absolutely love this book! My almost three year old has been so obsessed with her paci's and always carries around four at a time. They have affected her bite and caused some issues with her two front teeth. I was at a loss for how to detox her from the paci's but then I found this book. We've been reading it to her for three weeks now in hopes that we could warm her up to the idea. She has been excited about the idea of it but generally tells me she's not ready to let them go. Well today I had enough. I gathered up the 10 or so paci's I could find and dumped them in the outside trash so my husband wouldn't dig them out tonight when/if the little one pitched a fit. When she got home from daycare she saw that her paci's were gone but the paci fairy left her a few gifts on her pillow. She asked about them two times before bed but she fell right to sleep after about five minutes of restlessness. This is our first official night without a paci! This book works! As long as your little one can understand the concept it should work.
