Saddle up With Jesus: A Cowboy's Encounter With Jesus In Poetry
Saddle Up With Jesus is a book about life touched by the Master’s hand. Most of the poems are centered around a cowboy on a cattle drive., his experiences and his conversation with the father about them. They describe him praising his heavenly father, faith in his miraculous power, spending quiet time with him, and sharing him with others. Last but not least the poems describe living with Jesus. They touch on the Bible, different people, church, sorrow, times of testing, cowboy gear and heaven. All of them are pictures in words of our daily ride through life with Jesus. Finally, the last poem in the book is a sharing of how some people in the world view our heavenly father. The title of the poem is “What Would I Do Without Jesus?” I don’t know the answer to the question nor do I want to know the answer to the question. I always want to be found in the saddle with Jesus.

About the Author

Wanda Lynch has been writing poems since she was in high school. Most of her work until 2006 was focused on family and friends. She started a morning email to a friend to help him over some rough times and it grew to other employees and contacts all over the country and even into Europe. It started out to encourage one person and it grew as other people needed encouragement as well. She self-published from her home computer a book called “Praise, Prayer and Promises! using many of the previous e-mails and poems written during her morning devotions. It was used by a friend in her jail ministry as an outreach tool for the inmates. In 2006 she and her husband became involved in the cowboy church movement in Texas. It was after attending one of the yearly meetings of their church association where men recited cowboy poetry she began writing cowboy poetry. She takes no credit for the poems. God wrote them. She wrote them down. She began to read them in their church services. The response to them and the encouragement of friends and family gave her the desire to publish them so others could share them. It is her desire this book will touch the hearts and minds of those who read it and encourage them to search for a closer walk with Jesus.
