Saga Of Barak: Land of the Picts
Northern Roman Britain, early second century A. D.

Quite plainly in the here and now after many unsettled years it seemed by all account and appearance that certain unwelcome events were now in motion.

Here were dramatic events, aye events which might perhaps finally even hail the start of the decline of the once all powerful Roman Empire.

Never the less despite this most unwelcome chaos oh aye and all and everything else which was troublesome, yes this with even dark treachery included.

Well Septimius Severerus to his stubborn credit was still at this moment in time the ruling Emperor of this once great Imperial Roman Empire, however it must also be said that Septimius was a most agitated unhappy ruler at that.

Alas, aye and perhaps eventually at the end of the day this was always going to be his lot in life, mayhap his destiny even.

Still no matter as for better or for worse the Emperor supposed somewhat grimly if not resolutely to himself he had best just get on with it all as well as he could.
