I have been a huge Korn fan for about 10 years, Head was always my fav. I was sad when he left Korn and always wondered why. The book really explains alot. Mostly all of the mistakes that he made though out his life and his recovery. It kept me going becuase I am a Korn fan and I wanted to know what exactlly happen that made him leave Korn. It was interesting to see inside the life of Korn. It would be a great read for someone that loves inspirational stories. Overall I am glad that I have read it just for the fact that I wanted to know what happened.

I really enjoyed reading Brian's book. I grew up with rock'nroll in the 70's and my son grew with with Korn in the 90's. All that I've heard about living on the road as a rock band was confirmed in Brian's story. I am so happy for Brian that he has found Jesus and with that, peace. I asked to be in God's light when my son was born, over 20 yrs. ago. What Brian says about the struggles that Christians face in these pages are so true and he says it so eloquently. I have been inspired by your story, Brian, God Bless You!!

I put reading this book off for many months. I finally started reading it and was blown away by how much I want to be like this guy. If God offers it, he wants it, regardless of how it might look. This was a wonderful book and I long to be closer to Jesus because of it.

Book review: Save Me from Myself In this exhilarating novel, Save Me from Myself, Brian "Head" Welch doesn't mess around by setting the scene. He starts off the book with a bang. Drug abuse, sex, a new born daughter, and some very serious marital problems. Brian starts out as a normal teenage rocker in Bako, California. Until he started to experiment with drugs, and that's where all of his problems got started. Brian was in many bands before he helped start KORN. Brian hated being on the road for many reasons, but you will have to figure those reasons out for yourself. I encourage everyone to read this novel. It doesn't matter if you are a KORN fan or not, you will be moved by this book because it's not just about a man who put on rock shows and partied a lot, it's also about life and how faith and family are the two most important things on the planet. Although Brian made it big, he was on a very rocky road all the way to the top. "Take life as it is."

Head's story should be read by all Korn fans and anyone who cares about music, personal transformation & Christianity (or any one of them). I'm a Korn fan, both of these books made me take a deeper look at life and faith; now I'm an even bigger Korn fan! Thank you Head!

This is a book by a great guitarist that went through tons of things in his life. He was very weak and grew to be very strong. Inspirational and informational.

This is a good read for seeing how God can change anyone. I learned about the sub-culture of dark-metal music. Brian did not sugar coat his story but was straight forward. I believe this book can and will reach a younger generation for Jesus Christ. Worth the time to read and software worked good on Nook.

The story starts out pretty good where he explains trouble growing up with drug and drinking problems and leads into the birth of his daughter. I am sorry, but I totally lost interest about half way through this book and I just couldn't finish it. I wish that he would have hired experts to help out with his story, because he has a message to express. I am proud of the author because of turning his life around, if he would write another book with the help of experts then I would consider purchasing again, but I will save the end of the story for a day when I have nothing better to read. No offense to the author, Please hire a team of writing experts to keep your story along a page turning pace and then you will gain a better reputation as an author and a healthy following of fans. Good Luck, Brian. God Speed

I appreciate the way he wrote this book as though he were having a conversation with a friend. Kudos to him for writing his story in such an honest light without glamorizing his drug use. It took courage to expose his journey to God and his day-to-day struggles. If you need inspiration to kick a habit, be a better parent, or find God, then this book is for you.

I enjoyed this book very much! It was a very eye opening and informative book on the life of rock stars. I thought I had a decent understanding of the life they live, but this book proved me wrong. You will walk away after reading this book feeling encouraged, inspired, and enlightened. Welch did a great job in detailing his life before, during and after Korn. He gives the reader great insight into what the life of a rock star typically is. I salute Welch for first, having the courage to go against the grain and stand up for his faith in Christ. Secondly, I applaud him for being extremely candid in regards to his life, the things he's done, and mistakes he'd made. Thirdly, for fighting adversity and finding the courage to not go back to the lifestyle that God saved him from even when everyone and everything was screaming at him to do so! Extremely well done! You're an inspiration to all Christians everywhere and a true encouragement to those who are currently fighting the demons that God helped you to overcome. May God lead them to your book. Stay strong and God Bless!

I've readthis book twice in the past year. I have a really odd affinity for the band Korn and one weekend I noticed it on my boyfriend's book shelf. I finished it in two days. I had to get my own copy and read it again just so I could highlight the parts that spoke to me. No matter your religion, this book will appeal to you.

As a fan of Korn I decided I would read this book. Head should stick with the guitar and leave writing alone. As a parent, I am glad to see him take the right step in raising his daughter. I too almost had to put the book down, and I apologize for this...........the book became corny...sorry... Good for Head fixing his re-join Korn and do what you do best.

Save Me From Myself was an interesting read for me. While in one hand the overall story was good, the writing was horrible. About two thirds of the way through I almost stopped because I no longer was enjoying any bit of the reading. Fortunately the story picked up near the end, thus bolstering it's rating to a meager 3.5. An interesting story, unfortunately told through the writing of a guitarist.
