What an emotional roller coaster!!! Beautiful story of how second chances can happen... Tragedy at the outset brings so many tears... Very different story line with so many webs woven into one great book... Ms. Michaels is a very talented author and I will anxiously await the next two books in the series - SAY YOU WANT ME and SAY YOU'RE MINE... Book is 17 years in the telling.... Never read a book by this author. Tons of 5 star reviews, the writing is excellent ,the small town feel very fun. The romance for me was a little predictable and cheesy. Finished it because I paid money for it. 4 stars for the storytelling.

I love a good second chance romance and Say You'll Stay did not disappoint! I was completely unprepared for the beginning and knew that I wouldn't be able to put this one down. I fell in love with the characters and with Bell Buckle, TN. This is book 1 in the author's Return to Me series of interconnected stand alones about the Hennington brothers. Zach. I am still swooning for this cowboy. He is the perfect blend of cocky and vulnerable. It's clear that although 17 years have passed between him and Presley, their feelings and connection are just as strong (if not stronger) as when they were teenagers. Yes, he lost a few points in my book for not ending things with Felicia before things started to change between him and Presley, but I loved how devoted he was to trying again once Presley returned. He was patient, understanding, and sweet as he and Presley got to know each other again as adults. They have so much history and pain to wade through, especially Presley, and the flashbacks to the past were perfectly placed to shed light on how these two got to this point. I do wish that there had been more Zach chapters though, because I often wondered what was going on in his mind. Presley. I both loved her and was annoyed by her. I understand that when things went south the first time, she was only 18, so she wasn't the most mature. Honestly, neither was Zach, but that's young love. It's all consuming and emotional. They were living off the dreams of first love and the reality didn't match up. I really liked that the story addressed that even if different choices had been made, the relationship still might not have survived. So much in life is about timing. I thought things moved a little quickly after all the tragedy Presley has faced, but at the same time not fast enough since Zach and Presley have known each other since they were kids and the spark never died. Another thing in the story that annoyed me was Felicia. I understand why there was the whole other woman plot line and that Zach would not have been unattached for 17 years, but the amount of hostility and anger towards Felicia seemed over the top. Yes, she's terrible and catty, but I was really curious as to why there was so much hate towards her. Everyone got their comeuppance though, so it all worked out ;) I definitely enjoyed the secondary characters in this book like Cooper, Angie, Grace, and the up in your business all the time residents of Bell Buckle, but I especially loved Wyatt. He's the loyal brother and best friend who wants something more. His scenes were hilarious, heartfelt, and bittersweet. I was happy to see that book 2 in the series will be his story. I really enjoyed this second chance love story and can't wait to return to my favorite town in Tennessee.

4.5 stars All I can say is have tissues ready for this story is one for up and down emotions!! It is about 270+ pages of sadness, lost love, funniness, and steamy loving with some great surrounding characters too, that I can not wait to read about in future stories. Highly recommended****

Corinne has once again ripped my heart out and then pieced it back together one little bit at a time... She broke me from the start with this story and there was no way I could not see where this story could go... What an incredibly sad, tragic, heart wrenching, BEAUTIFUL story about love, loss and betrayal. My emotions were all the place reading this and I hid at work reading it, hiding the tears in my eyes over and over again. One day read - could not put it down!? HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended!!!

I was browsing around to find a new audiobook to listen to, while I commute. I stumbled upon this gem of a story. I’ve never read a Corinne Michaels book before. But OMG! why did I not know of this amazing storyteller?! In the beginning of the story, I felt something was not right. Of course, it really wasn’t what I had expected but Michaels really wanted to tear at your heart a little in the first few pages.  I loved the feel of this book. The only way I can describe it is, it's like Sweet Home Alabama. The whole small town, unrequited love. Presley and Zachary’s story was never finished. They lost so many years without each other. But sometimes hurt and no closure can do that.  When Zachary and Presley finally get together, It’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever read/listened to. This is also one of the greatest love stories.  The narrators of this story were amazing. I loved Andi and Sawyer’s narration. Andi just really brought Presley to life. Every heartbreak, every secret, and every moment of love that filters from these characters. I felt all of them. I’m going to have to listen to more by her. They're a really great pair to listen to. And I’m a bit picky when listening to audiobooks.  Overall, I give this Five HUGE Boundless Stars. Say You’ll Stay, a beautiful, heartbreaking masterpiece.

I felt like I was dying inside without you. You were such a deep part of who I was that when you left I was empty. Can you say e-m-o-t-i-o-n-a-l.... I was in tears in the first few chapters and throughout the whole book. Corinne made me have the feels throughout this whole beautiful stunning book. Her words totally undid me. I love second chance romances and this might just be at the top of those reads. I didn't even read the blurb so I went into this book blind because really it's Corinne Michels and I love her writing so I knew it was going to be brilliant. My review had to wait, I needed to think on how to convey what this book is... Zach is home. Zach is the place that I've always known and wanted. He's a part of me and I'm a part of him Zach and Presley were each other first loves...first everything. Seventeen years ago life decisions turned their lives upside down and they broke apart. Both have been living their own lives separate from each other...Presley married and had two kids, moved to the big city leaving her life in Bell Buckle behind...literally behind. It was too heartbreaking to return for fear that she'd endure seeing her one true love. But when Presley's life as she knows it explodes, she's faced with being homeless or returning to TN. As Presley makes her way back to the town she escaped from, she needs to be I was completely blown away by the story and all the characters. Each character adds something to the story and you find yourself so immersed in their lives. You need to read this in one sitting or I should say you will want to read this in one sitting, because putting this book down is not an option. "It's not because of you Presley. It's because it's always been you." Zach and Presley belong together or at least I was hoping for them to reunite. Their love story was far from over. They are drawn to each other and both have vulnerabilities and strengths that each other needs. But can they forgive and move on? What impressed me was how they both thought of the children and what was right for them. They didn't just jump into things and out their feelings. They took things slowly and how it could affect the kids. I loved the bond that both of them seem to have with Zach. This story was just so much that I was absolutely intoxicated by Corinne's words. This story has a message and it was as I said a stunning beautiful story. This is about finding yourself, picking yourself up after losing everything you thought you knew, finding your happiness or what makes you smile. Giving yourself the choice of forgiveness and a second chance at life and love. Say You'll Stay is a complete standalone, but I'm so intrigued and excited for the next books. Yes it's going to be a series with characters intertwining. This was a joy to read and left me with a book hangover, but it was so worth it. Corinne words evade your heart, your mind, your soul. Highly Highly recommend...it's a re-read for me. 5 Soulmate Stars!! ARC received for honest review for Books Need TLC

I loved how real this book was ... that although it's a love story, it kept it honest and that isn't always easy.

The drama and angst was interesting but there was no way to determine the progression of time. The couples were immature and so are their friends. I didn't care about any of the characters because they appeared flat. No genuine affect beyond the standard stereotypes.

When Corrinne Michael's announces that she has a new book releasing soon, I automatically get the giddy feeling of anticipation. After reading Say You'll Stay and being introduced to Wyatt Hennington there first, I knew my butterflies in the belly would be for a good reason in Say You Want Me. I was absolutely not mistaken. Corinne took this one to a whole new level with her writing. I thought her take on Navy Seals was top notch, but holy smokes...cowboys? I'm in love with a fictional man and I don't care who knows this fact! :) Say you want me took me on a journey of highs and lows...in a good way. A way a book that simply can't be put down once started should. I hit quite a few emotions ranging from happy to sad to aroused to smitten. This love story hit buttons like no other. I don't want to give the storyline away in my review. Nothing drives me crazier than reading a review with spoilers. After reading the synopsis, you should be hooked from the get go. The ride is well worth every minute reading this beautiful story. My point to get across is to praise Corinne for an amazing job...one that is considerably well done. She outdid herself with writing and publishing Say You Want Me and I can't say enough wonderful things about it. Passing this one up would be doing yourself a great injustice. Trust your instincts and pick this one up. No way, no how, will you ever be even remotely disappointed.

Right off the bat you are hit with all these emotions and it was ones I was not expecting. The whole book is simply breathtaking and Corinne has done an amazing job, reading the blurb I wasn't expecting all the emotional angst and feelings to hit you like that. Say You'll Stay is the second chance romance and these are one of my favourite genres and this one is just spectacular. It's so powerful it take's hold and grips onto you and never lets go, I went into this knowing it was going to amazing, but I had no idea just how much and that it wouldn't let go. Presley and Zach, lets just say you live, breath and feel throughout the story with them,it's so poignant. Bell Buckle Tennessee is where it's set, its a small town where everyone knows everyone's business. Presley has to move back here after her husband left her alone with their sons and no money. She's forced to move back to her parents ranch where she left, all the years ago,to pick up the pieces, everyone rally's round to offer their help and support. However, the one person Presley didn't expect was Zach. Presley is one of the heroines you instantly cannot help but love along with Cayden and Logan. Zach,on the other hand, you want to blame him for them being apart, but you can't. Throughout you are given pieces of their past, Presley and Zach is that young love that's all consuming, burns you whole and never lets go - it's breaks your heart when it doesn't work out. So when Zach and Presley met, for the first couple of times ,it plays with your emotions again as you feel all the hurt, heartbreak and pain, but you can't help but hope that first true love will conquer all and forgiveness will allow for second chances. This book has all the angst and feelings you could ever wish for and love, it's truly become a firm favourite read, not just for the year either.

4.5 "You're Mine, Darlin'" Stars! I can't lie and say about 1/4 into this book I didn't start to feel disappointed. I was having trouble connecting to the main character because of her actions and the reasons behind them. I found myself getting upset because I kept thinking, "man I really want to love this book." This was the first book ever that I really had to step back and put myself in the character's shoes, and once I did that, well I couldn't help but fall in love with another Corinne novel. So if you start to feel the way I did in the first quarter of this book, my advice to you would be to push brought because if you end up stopping, you'll regret it... Because I ended up loving it more than I could imagine! Presley Benson had the life she'd always wanted. She had her husband who loved and supported her whole heartedly along with their twin boys who completed their world. Her everyday life was planned out to a routine just like everyone else's. But when she goes home one day to find out her husband has committed the ultimate betrayal, her entire world implodes. She's left devastated and confused as she's crippled in pain in the days to come. "I fall to the ground. My knees hit the unforgiving floor, but it's nothing compared to the pain in my chest. I sit, unmoving, as my life falls apart." As the days after her husbands betrayal continue, her struggles do nothing but increase. She does everything she can to dig her sons as well as herself out of the hole they've found themselves in, but she realizes the inevitable... "It's clear that from this day forward, I have to leave the dependent girl I was behind and stand on my own feet." Knowing she has to do what's right for her sons, she does the one thing she vowed never to do... She moved back to a place that holds too many painful memories of her and HIM together. She's forced to move back home. But when one of her best friend finally gets her to go out, she never expected to lock eyes with the very reason for staying away from Bell Buckle in the first place... HIM... Zachary Hennington. And his affect on her is the same as it's always been... "He's the same boy I fell in love with at twelve. His eyes still hold the same intensity when he looks at me. My fingers tingle as Zach stands before me. He's paralyzed me with one look." Zach Hennington never wanted to leave Presley. It was his choice to have her AND his dreams all at once. But when his dreams came knocking, he left. Now he's back home in Bell Buckle, but he never thought he'd see her again. A lot of things changed but one thing stayed constant... "She's the reason I haven't been able to move forward in my life. I've tried to live, love again, but it never compared. She f ruined me." Running into each other becomes constant despite Presley doing everything she can to NOT see him. But Zach is in more than just her space. The undeniable sexual tension is always there, but most importantly, Zach starts to step up in other places in her life slowly but surely. And all of that alone is enough to step back into the past and just BE again. "He pulls me into his body. He breaks me apart. He puts me together. He's my poison and my antidote." "But I can promise that I'm not going away easily. I'll wear you down, Presley Mae. I'll remind you that sometimes the reward is worth the risk." But a blast from the past isn't necessarily a good thing for Presley and Zach.

What a roller coaster ride! The full range of emotions was experienced from despair to joy. A character study of people growing through various stages of life that are not necessarily easy, but the beacon of hope and love shine . A job well done.

A Review of Say You'll Stay by Corinne Michaels Presley and Zach - 5+++++ stars I did this kinda backwards - I actually read the second book in the series first and knowing the characters crossed over, I was so hooked that I had to go back and get this book to read their story as well. Presley left Bell Buckle, Tennessee to follow her man to college up north. Since Zach was two years ahead of her in school, they had to deal with a two year long distance relationship until she could follow after him. Getting engaged at such a young age didn't seem out of the norm for them—they were meant to be. When Zach signs a baseball contract two months into her first year there, she lets him go, refusing to deal with another couple of years of long distance and he left her there. The only person she had was the friend she had made in Angie. Cut away to almost seventeen years later and for reasons beyond her control, she has lost everything but her twins and has to move back to the family farm until she can get back on her feet. She had no idea that Zach was back in Bell Buckle and it seems that everything and everyone is pushing them back together. But, can love from a very young age truly be soul mates? Will they be able to withstand all the secrets and hurts that they have endured? Ms. Michaels definitely knows how to tear your heart out and yet put it back together with 'a little duct tape and spit' as the old saying goes. Sometimes fate steps in and nudges two very broken hearts into one new one that will stand the test of time.

Within this book is one of the most emotional stories I've ever read!! Right from the first chapter you are punched in the heart with raw gutwrenching emotions that make you want to crawl inside the book and comfort Presley, her boys, and all who are suffering from the tragic heartbreak! "My body goes still. My heart shatters. My world crumbles." The highly emotional journey continues throughout every page, with Presley having to pack up her boys and her life to move back to a hometown and a first love that she ran from long ago, a place and love that she never thought she could open her shattered heart to ever again. Zachary Hennington was the boy of her dreams, her soul mate, her first love in every way, and the first to break her heart. Zach made a decision many years ago that he has regretted his whole life and given the chance he'll fight for a second chance with Presley because his heart has always belonged to her. These two deserve the true happiness that escaped them those many years ago but will they be able to overcome all that has separated them? Will the love they shared still be as strong? And most of all, can they forgive one another for the heartbreak they each endured??? "Say you'll keep fighting with me for a long time. Say you'll meet me at the creek every night. Say you'll fall asleep in my arms and deal with my s***. Presley Benson, say you'll stay." My heart was an emotional overload the whole time reading this heartfelt beautiful book, from tears to laughter to more tears and then complete happiness of getting to experience such an epic love story!!!
