Secret of Zen

A young Soto Zen monk in America sets out to find the Secret of Zen. In this book what he found is laid out and explained in plain language that is easy to follow and understand. Zen as he explains is about 'intuition'. It alone is the means for realizing the secret of Zen. Knowing this is the enlightenment of the Buddhas.

The Secret of Zen is no ordinary Zen book, the author goes directly to the heart of Zen's path, and brings it forth in a way that anyone with an ounce of wisdom can understand. He further goes on to explaining how each of us can also discover Zen's secret, personally. But be forewarned the path becomes more difficult the more a person advances towards Zen's secret.

About the Author

The author is reticent to say much of anything about his life from his birth to becoming a Zen monk. Buddhism does not celebrate the world of birth and death. All sentient beings who take birth in a biological body that will one day perish is the fate of all. What is more important in each life is the continuity of a vital spirit that most human beings cannot sense but which is speculated about in the form of religious and philosophical literature.

Without intuition all religious and philosophical speculation ends in failure. One would hope that we learn something about intuition from the time of our childhood to adulthood. I only became introduced to the path of intuition beginning in a college course that I was taking which included a brief course about Zen. Not too long after this I decided to become a Zen monk if I wished to understand the enigmatic writings of Zen. It is here that my normal life came to an end and a new life dedicated to a path of intuition began.
