About the Author

Laurel Fraher is an author, illustrator, wife, and mother of three living in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Laurel's first child, Julia, passed away at age three after a months-long battle with cancer. She is passionate about doing what she can to help bring comfort and hope to other bereaved families, and to bring conversations around child loss, death and grief more into the foreground.

Robert Fraher is a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He has a Master of Fine Art degree in graphic design with an emphasis on interactivity from the University of Minnesota. His research explores how interactive design and digital media can facilitate individual expression and community involvement. He has exhibited, published, and presented research in the fields of graphic design, art, instructional design, interaction design, and creativity.
