This guide is great for taking with you to the beach when looking for seashells as it is laminated and folds into a convenient size. As a regional guide, it uses color drawings (66) to group shells by "common shells"-"good finds"- "rare treasures"-"beach life" with size range of shells so you have an idea of what you find. Includes "tips" on when and where to search the beaches, as well as cleaning and preserving what you find. This is not an exhaustive identification guide, there are plenty of other books available to use back at your home or condo, but is helpful while you are on the beach so you don't pass up something that is uncommon or rare! Very helpful and fun to use.
