I really liked this book. I could not put it down. Georgeanne was a sweetie and John a bit too much jock, but their love for Lexie was adorable. I love a man who is good with kids. Nothing is sexier! I would recommend this book.

After the reviews and summary, I thought this would be a good story but it was little more than a trashy romance novel. The characters had no depth and the entire focus of this story was getting laid with a complete disrespect for the little girl that both the characters claim to "love" that happened to be in the next room while they got in on... twice. It was a terrible book if your looking for a good story but if you're looking to be titillated with nothing but cheesiness and rediculous thoughts as filler, then this is the book for you.

I really enjoyed this book. I like how you get both person's perspectives. I am a hockey fan so this caught my eye. I have read this book twice and it is definitely worth re-reading in the future! I am loving Rachel Gibson's hockey/Chinook series books!

Loved the storyline, I thought it was a great, fast read. I love a good sports-romance novel. The only complaint I have is the editing. I know this is an older novel, but I would've thought the editors would've picked up on some mistakes. Words misspelled (7ust for just, for example). The main issue I had with the editing was how one part of the storyline flowed directly into the other mid-chapter without any break. (You know what I'm talking about, the authors generally leave a space to break up the thoughts/action of one character to move to the other). There were a few times I was flat out confused about what I was reading because we just from Georgie to John without that break. I had to re-read certain parts. I do not fault Rachel Gibson for this, I genuinely enjoyed the story so much that I've already begun the next in the series with book #3 waiting in the wings.

Soft porn and very predictable plot! Very contrved and uses a formula of girl & boy attracted to each other & how they hide theit feelings to buljd tension, not hing new or original- too much about the herione's boobs, too!

3 1/2 STARS!
A quirky story of life, lust and eventually a happily ever after! The main characters are fairly well developed, but there was a side plot of Mae/Ray that I found to be a bit distracting. For a hockey romance, there wasn't really much of a hockey context involved, but it was an entertaining read.
The moment Georgeanne Howard decided to run out on her wedding, her life was changed forever! Her unknowing hero whisks her away into a night of temptation too steamy to be denied.
When hockey player John Kowalsky realizes that the woman he helped into his car is none other than the soon-to-be bride of his boss, he's fit to be tied! Heads are going to roll if this ever gets out ... namely his!
Seven years later, their lives are in totally different places when they meet by happenstance again. John has settled down from his wild ways that somewhat stemmed from a past that she knew nothing about back when they were first together ... and Georgeanne has made something of herself in the culinary world. When John accidentally finds out about the daughter they share, Georgie is determined not to let the guy that hurt her do the same to her daughter. She doesn't need his help and doesn't appreciate him trying to insinuate himself into her happy life! John isn't going to take no for an answer when it comes to a kid that is just as much his as hers ... will the fireworks lead to a feud worthy of the tabloids, or will they figure out a way to work together towards a better future?

Characters had very little depth by a third of the way into the book. Lots of "accidentally" pressed against each other, robe slipping open, etc. I always finish a book once I start one - not this one, I didn't even keep it in my library.

Always enjoy Rachel Gibson's work! I do wish her publishers would have corrected all the typos and formatting issues, though!

This book had a lot of editing errors (mispelled words or typos). It was generally a good plot but lacked the depth or fun that grabs you and pulls you in.
