About the Author

Sean Abley is one of the founding members of the Factory Theater in Chicago. While there, he adapted the films Corpse Grinders, Reefer Madness, and Santa Claus Conquers the Martians for the stage, as well as writing the original plays Bitches, Attack of the Killer Bs, and Nuclear Family.

He also contributed to the ensemble-created works Hooray!, Second City Didn't Want Us or, Is There a Spot In the Touring Company for My Girlfriend?, and P, a comedy adaptation of the "P" volume of the encyclopedia. His play, Horror High, was recently published by Brooklyn Publishers.

Commissioned stage works include Camp Killspree (Bailiwick Repertory, Chicago), Confessions of a Male Pin-up (Turnaround Theater, Chicago), and The RISE of the House of Usher (Virginia City Players, Virginia City, Montana. Published by Eldridge Plays and Musicals), and Dracula's Daughters: A Family Comedy (Virginia City Players. Published by Playscripts, Inc.).

As a screenwriter for both TV and film,. Abley has written for the shows So Weird (Disney Channel), Sabrina the Animated Series (ABC), Digimon and Mega Babies (both Fox Family) as well as several pilots including Bench Pressly, the World's Strongest Private Dick starring Bruce Campbell and Tim Curry. His produced screenplays include Rope Burn, Socket, the upcoming Wildcat Road and Switchcraft, and all the video material for Rip Torn in the Men In Black: Alien Attack park attraction at Universal Studios, Florida.

He also writes for various magazines, as well as the "Gay of the Dead" blog for Fangoria.com.

Sean lives in Los Angeles with his husband, Matt, and their two cats, Bonky and Loki. He continues to write plays with swears and adult situations.
