Secrets are being leaked left and right. Will they ever be able to be together? - 5++++ stars This is the final book in the story of Liz and Sam. It has been five months since Liz found out the truth about River and Sam pushed her away. Liz has left New Hope to work on Governor Guy's campaign. Both Liz and Sam are miserable apart, but it doesn't look like they can make things work. Connor shows up at Sam's house to let him know that trouble has hit the fan. Someone has released a sex tape of Sam and a red haired woman. Sam knows that it is not a recent tap, but it has been made to look like it. How did this get leaked and what are they hoping to gain from it? Liz gets thrown back into Sam's life and they just can't seem to stay away from each other. However, Liz still does NOT want to be "the other woman" for anyone. They keep going back to what they know. They were made to be together, but there are forces that are trying to keep them apart. I had a feeling that I knew who released the sex tape, but learning the truth about who released it and why was painful in a way. How certain things can look one way to one person and something totally different to someone else. You don't want to miss this final book in Sam and Liz's story, but Lexi has more stories to tell about the people in New Hope. **Complimentary Copy provided by Author for an honest review.**

Could put it down. Luckily my kids are at school n didn't interrupt me! Can't believe I finished it in 3hrs.... I wish Nix's story was out already. I need more!! I've read all your other books n this one was getting to me n wasn't sure how it would end. But as usual, you didn't disappoint. Keep the books coming and maybe one one Connor growing a set and becoming a real man and not a puppet? Maybe one that includes liz's happy day?

Enjoyed the story of Sam and Liz but would have liked to see them together more. They spent most of this book apart. I did like the storyline and thought Sabrina's character made for a good read.

I liked the first book (Something Reckless) way more. After finishing the first book, I was crazy excited to continue. Something Real took me longer to finish because of lesser interest. I felt that Liz and Sam wasted way too much time finding even the simplest, illogical, and unnecessary reasons to not be together. I honestly got tired of their behavior and took quite a long break from the book before finally forcing myself to finish it.

This will have your head spinning in a good way!  So many twists and turns you'll never see it coming!  Great story and wonderful conclusion to Sam and Liz's love story. This book will keep you on your toes and you'll be cheering Sam and Liz on while cursing them at the same time.  Amazing! Can't wait to read about other characters in this series!

4 sexy, scandalous, intense, passion filled stars! A couple of months ago, I read Something Wild and Something Reckless by Lexi Ryan. The first two installments of her Reckless and Real Series left me on the edge of my seat! I could not wait to read the conclusion of Liz and Sam's story! I highly recommend your read Something Wild and Something Reckless before you sink your teeth into Something Real. I can't give too much away of what happened in this book because I don't want to spoil the major twist that happened in Something Reckless. What I will say is that when I read the last few pages of that book, I was left speechless asking myself, WTH did I just read?? Oh my God! I did not see that twist coming AT ALL!!!! I knew that the last installment of this story was going to be intense and filled with unexpected twists once again. Liz and Sam's journey has been a roller coaster ride of emotions since the very beginning. Liz and Sam once again captivated my attention from beginning to end. Their chemistry is HOT! When these two are in the same room you can feel the tension. Five months have passed since that night that changed their life. During those five months, they both have grown individually, but they also realized that together is where they are meant to be. Their journey to finding their HEA is far from easy. It's filled with Lies, secrets and betrayals. Overall, I was really happy with how everything turned out for Liz and Sam. All of the answers that I was waiting for have been answered in Something Real. I loved how all the supporting characters were integrated in their story. I will definitely be reading more of Lexi Ryan's book! Her books have been an amazing reading escape!  I give, Something Real, by Lexi Ryan, 4 sexy, scandalous, intense, passion filled stars!

Finally we have the conclusion to Liz and Sam's story! It was worth the wait (easy to say that now, once it's here and I've finished it--back in December it felt like March was never coming! ;)) Something Real is definitely not a standalone--you need to have read Something Reckless and read it recently enough that the major points are still fresh in your memory before tackling this one.  Having read book one, you would probably guess that Sam and Liz's HEA isn't going to be achieved easily--and ohmygoodness, you'd be right. Toward the end I began to be afraid that there'd be a book 3, but fortunately Ms. Ryan managed to pull together a conclusion and spared me a lot of grief. Things happen pretty fast at the end--it was a tad bit rushed and I would have liked to have seen more Sam and Liz time since they spend a huge chunk of the book not together, but ultimately I was happy with how it came out. At least one of their hookups before that point, though, seemed like an unhealthy risk. Hot as all get out, of course, but a huge risk that I wasn't convinced they should have taken...but hey, it all worked out in the end. Thank goodness. Once again, I didn't see the surprise twists coming. Well played, Ms. Ryan! Liz's sisters play a significant role in this one, inspiring me to pick up the omnibus versions of Callie and Maggie's stories Splintered Hearts: The New Hope Trilogy and Hanna's story Here and Now: Complete Series just after I'd finished this book. Nix's story is coming next--can't wait! Rating: 4 stars / B+ I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

I've been anxious to see what would happen with Liz and Sam after the cliffhanger at the end of the last book. I can honestly say, I was completely taken by surprise at the path the characters went down in this book. It was full of twists, turns and revelations. (And sexy times, of course.) There was a healthy dose of angst and misbehaving characters that made me want to hurl my iPad. (But only because I liked them and wanted the best for them and the things they were doing were DEFINITELY not best.) Despite their best effort to make me insane during this book, I really liked Liz and Sam. She's reeling from all she lost after learning the true identity of her cyber hookup, Riverrat. I felt so bad for her. She made some mistakes, but she certainly didn't deserve to lose all she did over it. She probably drove me less crazy than Sam did during this one. From where I sat, Sam was just flat out self-destructive. He was making all kinds of horrible decisions and I wanted to shake some sense into him.  Something Real was a solid read. Liz and Sam were traveling a bumpy road, but I never stopped hoping it would lead them back together. I'm sad to see this series come to an end, but can't wait for the next spinoff series with characters from Lexi's New Hope gang!  I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Something Real was the conclusion to Liz and Sam's story. I would urge you to read them in order. If you haven't already read book one (What is wrong with you?) start with it. You will find heat and steam, ;-) excitement action, surprises and everything wonderful that I have come to expect from Lexi Ryan's writing style. I really liked it! I received an ecopy in exchange for my honest opinion.

I just finished reading Something Real by Lexi Ryan and my first impression of the book was WOW, how does she do it?   When I finished Something Reckless I was so bummed because I just didn’t think I could wait until March to read the rest of Sam and Liz’s story.  Let me tell you it was well worth the wait. Lexi Ryan’s books snatch you up on the first page and don’t let go until you finish the book.  Then all you can do is wait for the next one to come out. She captures your interest and the next thing you know you are living the story she is telling. Sam and Liz love each other but have more struggles than a normal couple could possibly handle and the way Miss Ryan tells their story is so compelling that it makes you read through meals, not take phone calls or even socialize because you can’t stop reading the story and need to find out what happens to them.  On a scale of 1 to10 this book is a 100!

I was definitely nervous upon starting this one, considering the way the last one ended! Liz was dealt a whopper of a surprise as to the true identity of riverrat and let me tell you it was NO BUENO. *shudder* And quite creeptastic. I was really unsure of how Sam and Liz's relationship would progress in this one (if at all) because of the big reveal, but man I did not expect them to have to deal with as much as they did! This book is one giant manipulation after another and the twists and turns kept on coming! I was surprised by how much politics played in this one- I thought it would be more focused on Liz and Sam trying to repair their broken relationship, but it turned into much more than that. For these two to truly be happy, they have to deal with everything else that's been thrown at them. There are so many people against them it's kind of mind-boggling. Image is everything in this book and a huge scandal involving Sam has been brought to light and could end everything Governor Guy has worked to achieve. Sam is caught between what he feels he must do versus what he wants to do. He loves Lizzy, despite everything that happened, and wants to make things work with her. Oh Lizzy. My heart ached for her. This whole riverrat debacle has taken so much from her: a job she loved, the guy she loved and wanted a life with, and it even took her away from New Hope, as she is working in Indianapolis. In the 5 months since it all went down, Lizzy has really been struggling. She isn't taking care of herself the way she should and even her neighbor seems to take notice. I was a little wary of him becoming something more with Liz, but I'm glad Ryan didn't go in that direction. Unfortunately, because of Sam's family's ties with the Guys', Liz can't avoid Sam forever, especially now that there's a scandal thrown into the mix. Sam hasn't been faring much better, but is now stuck between a rock and a hard place. He is forced to lie to the one person he doesn't want to lie to, and makes her feel degraded and he hates himself for putting her in that position. Logically, he knows he should let her go until everything is resolved, but he is too in love with her to do that. I felt the ending was a bit too rushed for me though. We find out who is really pulling the strings and has been the master manipulator for far too long, and everything kind of just comes to an end. I felt the storyline with Asia fizzled out and I'm still left with questions concerning her. I was glad to see the New Hope girls and there is one relationship blossoming that I was pleasantly surprised by and am looking forward to reading in the future. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the way Sam and Liz's story ended, save for the lingering questions I still have. Ryan writes some sexy scenes between them and I really liked the forbiddeness that came attached to them this time around.

If you haven't read Something Reckless...this is a spoiler... What do you do when you find out the anonymous someone you had been trading sexual emails to was not Sam, the man you love, but his father….and then when everyone finds out, Sam tells you to leave…. Well, you flee, and this is just was Liz does, straight to go and work for the Governor’s campaign away from her home, her family and Sam. She is basically just going through the motions of life and then she is forced to be in too close of vicinity of Sam when a mysterious video of him comes out and his hands are forced to minimize damage to the campaign. I love these two and this book was just another example of Lexi Ryan’s amazing New Hope characters! Can’t wait to read more New Hope!
