About the Author

A quiet and reclusive author, Ran Kime, born and raised in New Hampshire has forged a distinctive path as a musician, songwriter, and author. He wrote his first book in third-grade for a school project and the 'itch' stuck. Ran self-published his first short story collection, 'Way Past Tipsy and Other Silent Cries for Help...' in 2018. Next came its artistic sibling, 'Just Words: Volume 1- The Lyrics and Shenanigans of the dirty lil' trollops' in 2023. These collections follow Ran and his bandmates as they tour the east coast, playing in a rock band. His latest short story and poetry collection, 'Spectre of the Brocken: Halo for the Observer', debuted #1 on the bestseller list of his bookshelf in his own living room.Kime's work touches on lost love, trauma, relationships, healing, loneliness, drinking, despair, and the exploration of the human psyche.
