About the Author

V.A. Dold Amazon best selling author of the Award-winning Le Beau Series and the K.I.S.S series.
Prior to becoming a full-time writer, she was publicist to the authors, owning ARC Author & Reader Conventions. Still is.
Her idea of absolute heaven is a day in the French Quarter with her computer, her coffee mug, and the Brothers, of course.
A Midwest native, with her heart lost to Louisiana & Texas. She has a penchant for titillating tales featuring sexy men and strong women. When she's not writing, she's probably taking in a movie, reading, or traveling. Oh, and there is the distinct possibility she is out cowboy hunting.

Nice story but it felt forced. I kept walking away and coming back to it!

Not too bad. There were some minor errors here and there. I was put off by the constant switching of character point of views. It would be jnder Stefan's point of view and the next sentence would be El's P.o.V. I did not like how much she flopped with her feelings, seemed too forced and the emotions not in-depth enough. There was no point ijn mentioning Donald really because besides beijng part of her back story it didn't bring him besides minor mentions. Not a bad read if you enjoy paranormal romance, but not my favorite.

I loved this book. It as so well written. You can’t help but get emotionally invested in their relationship. Keep the tissues handy. It’s one heck of a ride.

I liked the great guys but sometimes them and others involved didn't seem to smart.

The writing was unimpressive and the author tried to fit in too many twists so there wasn't much depth to anything. I was not impressed. On the plus side, it was edited pretty well and not full of mistakes.

As someone who experienced real life situations that was trying to be portrayed in this novel she made the heroine stupid and unreasonable and the hero had no backbone... I am a big girl who is married to a man with 12% body fat and is addicted to working out.. I was raped and molested for years as a child and it gave me severe body issues and when I got sick and gained weight my husband continued to love me and never see me as anything other than the girl who is his world.. I was not a stick when we met but was curvy in a healthy way and he had some obstacles to overcome but her anger and his groveling are ridiculous and demeaning to those who have lived this situation

El was a bit unbelievable. Interesting things about shifters brought into this series I had never heard before. All in all it was a good read. I will read the other books in this series. I hope they're all this good or better.

Enjoyed it immensely.

A regular human story dealing with relationship issues can be intriguing but add a twist of shifters, with hot steamy romance and a bit of mystery, and you have an awesome, page turning book that's hard to put down! Emotional!

This is the 3rd book I've read of this author. All have been on the same premise of finding mates, but each has their own twist. El's traumatic past was a significant road block to finding happiness with Stephan in this book. I liked that the author recognized the need for counseling after a terrible life changing event.

What an intriguing novel.  Dold returns to her world of shifters in the bayou with a flair.  Suspense runs rampant as the story takes off.  This was also a very emotional story.  Dold brought tears to my eyes more than once.  She also made me laugh.  I love the concept of the goddess.  It’s more prominently developed here than in the previous novels.  It really helps to explain what being a shifter means to these individuals.  This novel can be read as a standalone, but the first two novels in the series do give a great deal of context.  You can also really see the change in Dold’s writing since the beginning of the series.  This novel is much smoother and more personal.   I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know this main couple.  Both were well developed individuals who can stand very well on their own.  Seeing them come together and how they did so really lets you get to know them on a personal level.  I liked seeing more of this world from the mate’s perspective.  It really helped me understand the female characters better.   As a whole, this was a fantastic addition to Dold’s series.  I’d definitely recommend it to those who enjoy a racy shifter romance. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!! ***Received the ebook for an honest review The cover is sexy with that lick-able chest :)  Lots of fun!! Okay this series just keeps getting better.  I completely loved this book.  It has action, but my usual non-stop action I love, but the story has so much that you get sucked right into the drama, humor, and pain. I really connected with El and her pain & circumstances.  I get the no dating thing from past pain.  The Le Beau family just keeps getting bigger and better :)  With each story, I fall more in love with the Le Beau family and how much they stick together through it all and jump into to help each other at any time. V.A. does a fantastic job pulling the reader into the story and before you know it you’re hooked.  I really hope I don’t have to wait long for the next book about Thomas.  I know the series used to be focused on the Le Beau brothers, but it seems V.A. or perhaps her characters have decided to not limit herself to just the brothers, and it is really the whole family which I love :) I highly recommend this series to my shifter lovin’ friends especially The Wolf Pack…you know who you are ;)
