It was late September on a pleasant day with blue skies, a T's and shorts kind of weather to boot. Abi relished the opportunity to harvest the last of the veggies from her garden, her favorite pastime. The perfect thing on the perfect day, her life couldn't be better, she was happy, happy, happy. It was also the last thing she remembered, the last time she felt happy.
Reed Walters loved his job as Chief of Police for the small city of Bloomfield, it was a quiet, crime free town. A delightful place to live and to raise a family. All of that was turned upside down when he received the call from his friend that his wife was missing. There was no trace of her, she simply just disappeared.
The local authorities considered the situation unique, a random act, but there were others. Two FBI agents Rose Alveraz and Kurt Steele had been working a string of missing women cases who had been discovered murdered along the northwest coast. To their dismay, the trail started heading east from Washington State to Utah, then in Montana and now, reports of missing women in Wisconsin were coming in.
Rose and Kurt were determined, highly skilled, and remarkably successful. with her special talent for finding clues that others didn't see. Would they discover the culprit's identity and find Abi in time?

About the Author

Elli is known for storytelling, which began at the early age of four, entertaining her family with fanciful tales of vivid characters and wild imagination. Later, in primary and secondary education, she gained high marks in literature and excelled in creative writing. This talent was recognized early in her high school years, where she authored articles in a school journal. In her undergraduate studies, Elli also authored several fictional essays and poems that were published in a journal published by the English Department. She authored several articles published in a student newspaper at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Showing a range of diversity in her writing skills, Elli was hired to write, direct, and acted in a series of videos.
Elli has completed studies in an advanced graduate degree program for Education Administration (2008), an MS of Education with a focus on Organizational Leadership and Human Psychology (2007), and a BS in Adult Education (1988) all at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Her teaching career began as an adjunct faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Stout (1989), Milwaukee Area Technical College, (1990 – 2000), Minneapolis Community and Technical College, (2001 – 2004). After completion of her advance graduate degree study, she was hired as an assistant professor and retired from The University of Wisconsin System in 2010.
After retiring from teaching, her love of storytelling, especially fiction, never waned, continuing to write fictional stories in hopes of having them published soon.
Elli resides in Menomonie, Wisconsin, a small college town located in the northwest region of Wisconsin, where she enjoys the abundance of forests and natural resources. She enjoys hiking and biking on the many trails in the area and camping in the Great North Woods.
