About the Author

David B. Stein is professor of psychology at Longwood University, a Virginia state school. He is the author of four books on medication-free cognitive behavioral treatments of children and teens, one of which was a national bestseller. He is a consultant with the Virginia State Police, serving as a team member for hostage and crisis negotiations, threat assessment, critical response and debriefing, psychological profiling, and primary investigations.
