About the Author

Sharon Brendzel is a Professor at Kean University where she teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in science education. Other responsibilities at Kean include coordinating programs and grants. Dr. Brendzel's publications include articles in Science Scope, Science and Children, Curriculum Administrator, Connections and other magazines. She is a frequent presenter of hands-on workshops and seminars on changing educational practices at local, state, regional and national conferences. She has also served as an NCATE and science consultant for several universities.
