***** I loved this book. On its surface, it's a fascinating, phantasmagorical, colorful, blackly comic (I laughed out loud a number of times, including while sitting in the back of a bus)... I found it hard to put down and it lingered in my brain for a few weeks after I finished it. It's really a wild ride and beautifully structured, its conclusion feeling very cathartic and complete. I can see myself reading it again.
