I am loving the Sweeney Family. They are sweet, feisty, and so protective of each other. Even when they don’t see eye to eye they have each other’s backs. They can fight each other but will be the first to defend each other to non-family members. This is the story of Annie, the high schooler that has been adopted into the Sweeney family. The story of Annie and Cooper is the story of choices, future, and family. They have to make decisions that will affect their futures with a lot of pressure from the rest of the family. While the family drives me crazy with the pressure they put on the teenagers to make the decisions that the adults want, I understand that they want what is best for Cooper and Annie. I liked that Annie was able to stand up for herself and say NO! This is not what I want without alienating the family. Of course, there are twists and turns within the storyline that all add to the story. There is nothing to change in this series or this family. The characters are real, the setting is amazing, and the storyline is wonderful. Ashley Farley has an amazing series that I cannot wait to learn more about.

I really enjoyed this book. The ramifications of a pregnancy out of wedlock are always hard, made even more so by family who says that life is over or that the couple must marry. We must learn to embrace these young people and support them no matter how they choose to follow through. This book had good lessons for all of us. Face your problems and don't run from them.

I received a free electronic copy of this novel from Netgalley, Ashley Farley, and Crushstar Multimedia LLC in exchange for an honest review. Thank you all, for sharing your hard work with me. This is an excellent novel, a quick read, and well plotted. This family is complex and convoluted, but the spirit is there, the love. Ashley Farley is an author I will watch for in future.

I love these characters and this family so much. As soon as I start reading, I am immediately transported back into their world. The Sweeney Sisters series is wonderful set of stories about an interesting family going through some good times as well as some trying times. Tangle of Strings is mainly Annie's story, a young woman who came along as a stranger but immediately fit right in and was accepted by the Sweeney family. But then life becomes complicated for Annie and everyone tries to tell her how she should live her life. She has some hard decisions to make and her loved ones are pulling her in all sorts of directions. This is an emotional story that put me through the ups and downs of life but left me feeling quite satisfied. I have loved each book in this series and with each new book, I found myself becoming closer to each family member, making me feel like I had become part of the family. I really hope there is more to come in this wonderful Sweeney saga.

Tangle of Strings is Book 4 in the Sweeney Sisters Series. The author has written each of these books with enough background information included so that they can be read as stand alone books. Tangle of Strings deals with the issues of the youngest Sweeney family members - Cooper & his girlfriend Annie (who is under the guardianship of his aunt and uncle). Annie has seemed to always have challenges in life beginning when her Mom abandoned her with her father. He did the best he could but unfortunately it wasn't much. Once Faith and Mike become her legal guardians, things begin to change. She has become part of large, loving and genuinely caring family. In fact, often, they love each other so much it "hurts" - they end up hurting one another trying to protect each other and prove their love for one another. Sometimes they are just a little too intense with expressing their love and all hell breaks loose! They really could just cut each other some slack and everyone would be a lot calmer. This novel is filled with every element a great novel should have - excellent, believable characters, a heart wrenching story that too many families are forced to deal with, confrontations within a family, a very suspenseful kidnapping, finding friends you can count on and family working together for a common goal, In the end, love does conquer all. Another super read by a superior author! Can't wait for the next Series, book, etc. PLEASE keep them coming!

A story of family conflict and love for one another. An unplanned pregnancy causes trouble for family and friends and leads them to think about their own lives. Tragedy and turmoil threaten to change life forever. This is a fast paced story that keeps the reader rooting for the main character.

Tangle of Strings, by Ashley Farley, is a story about family loyalty, love, and pulling apart and together in stressful times. Although fourth in the Sweeney Sisters series, the book can easily be read as a stand alone novel. The author does a good job of filling in enough of the back stories that one does not get lost in missing details. The focus in this book is on the teenagers of the family, Annie and Cooper, and the decisions that need to be made, the dreams that need to be considered and why can't the adults just let them find their way? So many opinions and which one is right? Will there be a family feud or will love and reason prevail? The story is face paced with real-life situations that Farley infuses with drama and emotional tension. The characters are true-to-life and evocative--readers will get caught up in their lives. Family dilemmas covered by a whole lot of love and loyalty. I received a copy of the book from the author. A favorable review was not required and opinions are my own.

Another Sweeney Sisters Page-Turner! As with the three previous books in this series, "Tangle of Strings" is a real page-turner. The Sweeney sisters are back, and as always, drama is right around the corner. This installment is filled with real-life issues that will make you stop and think, and possibly shed a tear or two. No other explanation is needed, as too much information may spoil the plot. Readers of this series will not want to miss this one!

Favorite Quotes: Heidi and Hugh had talked about everything. He knew she wore a neon-pink shade of lipstick called Candy Yum-Yum, and she knew he ate ketchup on his grits and snored when he drank whiskey. They’re mean as hornets, don’t get me wrong. But my mama loves them anyway. A vision of his driving his redneck machine down the crowded streets of Manhattan, surrounded by yellow taxicabs and big city buses, caused his daydream to come to a screeching halt. Maybe New York wasn’t the best place for him after all. My Review: I don’t think I will ever tire of the Sweeney sisters and their odd collection of extended family members. Tangle of Strings is book four and I am more intrigued with them than ever before. Cozy up in your favorite chair and nestle in as the plot is boiling over with twists and turns of family tension, medical complications, police action, wry humor, and a resurfacing of the diva drama llama known as the old Jackie from book one. Poor Annie – she suffers through several trying incidents and has an extremely stressful and eventful stretch of time where she is constantly under pressure from all sides and has the entire family at odds. Ms. Farley’s clever pen has once again produced an engaging, emotive, and thought provoking storyline. I adore this series and as always, eagerly await the next installment.
