About the Author

Alice Fairfax loves great stories. That’s why she devoted her career to helping clients and companies tell a great story as a facilitator, writer, and strategic advisor for nonprofits and small businesses. She also serves as a Senior Story Consultant in the hospitality industry, guiding brands to drive their message and products with the power of story, which results in deeper brand awareness and higher employee satisfaction.

An award-winning actor and writer, Fairfax was an improvisational entertainer at Walt Disney World for over 20 years, including being “friends” with one iconic character (hint: she owns a magic wand and turns pumpkins into vehicles). She holds a certificate in Creativity & Innovation from the Walt Disney Company and Harvard Business School Publishing and a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Rollins College. As a publicist for touring Broadway shows, she created over 50 campaigns working with TV, radio, print, bloggers, and influencers. 

Fairfax is the Story Coach for the Victory Cup Initiative, where she trains nonprofit leaders in a story competition for grants totaling $40,000 every year. She hosted several podcasts, including the StoryMaven podcast where she interviews great storytellers for tips and insights. She blogs regularly with The Gloria Sirens, often telling stories about her son Henry who has autism and is a talk show host. Fairfax and her family live in Winter Garden, Florida, so close to the Magic Kingdom they can hear the fireworks every night at nine.
