## WOW. This book was EXQUISITE. It was fun and flirty and even had some 'tissue' moments as I call them. The hero and heroine had undeniable chemistry. You could feel it while reading. That's a huge accomplishment for an author. So many books I read are missing that "spark" between the two leading characters. Was it a tad predictable? Heck yes. But so what? It is escapism at its finest. Thank you to the author for writing such an awesome heroine. She was smart, funny, playful and utterly adorable. And I loved that she was so gorgeous. Man, I'm so tired of authors who write their heroines as plump or plain just to be politically correct. No thanks. I like my heroines beautiful. It's called fiction, baby. I will be reading this again for sure.

This was a fun and exciting read. It is also sure to satisfy any erotic fantasies you have with the explosive sex scenes that make up quite a bit of the story. Cooper and Kayla couldn’t get enough of each other, and that flight scene was…whew…*fans self* It made me want to rake up those frequent flyer miles. Now, before I get too hot and bothered *winks* I have to admit that this book was a little too predictable. There were a few things thrown in near the beginning that I just knew would come up later in the story, and there were a few “awww” moments when they did; because even though I was expecting them, who doesn’t like a great romantic gesture that sees someone conquering their fears at the same time, right? It showed the character’s vulnerability, but the strength of their love at the same time. If you are looking for something quick and fun to fill your bookshelf or eReader, look no further. The great chemistry between Kayla and Cooper was entertaining, and as they unwittingly fell in love, my heart melted for these two wonderful people. They overcame their fears and insecurities, which made way for what really matters – living your life without any hold ups, and sharing it with that special someone who captures your heart when you're not even looking.

This was an amazing book! Once I started, I was unable to stop until it was done. The characters were amazing together, and I don't think I'm alone is saying... Can I have a Cooper??? Even if only temporarily... =) All I can say for this one, is READ it! It's definitely worth it! I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Kayla has been lying to her family about having a boyfriend to keep them off her back. The know nothing about this made up man because she wants it to be a surprise when they meet him. Well, imagine her surprise when she meets a man on a plane who’s willing to play the role of her boyfriend. Only, the lines start to blur and the relationship becomes more real than the two of them ever planned. We’ve all watched those movies with this type of theme. So it comes as no surprise that the two end up falling in love only to have drama in the last 20 minutes where one bails but in the end love prevails. This story is no different from those. However, McLauglin makes it a bit more steamier than those movies. Heck, the two get quite cozy and very personal on the plane ride, in the airport parking lot and then later at her hotel room. So, pulling off the whole, “Oh yeah, I’m totally hitting that.” vibe wasn’t hard for these two. They didn’t need to fake their chemistry because they already had it. I did have some issues with this book though. The fact that they just meet each other and she allows him to put his hands in her nether region, while on a plane. Maybe I’m just an old stickler but for me that was just taboo. I could see maybe kissing someone at a club or something but on a plane ride? Let alone letting some stranger get his digits in my vajayjay, that’s just not happening. Although I could see taking up the opportunity to have a real life fake boyfriend and then possibly progressing after a while but right off the bat like that? Eh, not so much. “We met in an airport, and before the plane landed, I already knew the little sounds you make when you come. Ever since, it’s been a whirlwind of craziness.” Once I got past the initial hand shake – for lack of a better term – I was on board with the story. There were no pesky ex’s trying to reclaim Kayla’s heart. Although, Cooper’s military past makes him feel unworthy of Kayla. However, in the end all it takes is a grand gesture to get the girl of your dreams. It was a good romantic read with a bit of steam mixed in but it was just “eh” for me. It didn’t really give me anything new that I hadn’t already seen/read before. I wish the author had thrown in a twist to set it apart from all the others.

This was a hot little read. I loved the way Cooper and Kayla met. I like that the hot guy made a fool of himself for once. You always read about the woman going all tongue tied and tripping so this was a nice change. I especially loved Kayla's character. She was a bit nerdy with her random talk of facts but instead of being a shy nerd, she was a confident woman. She was straight up with Cooper. It was very refreshing. Great read! Cooper was in the airport looking for a place to sit while waiting for his flight to N Carolina to be called. Cooper is on his way to a new job. He has time to get there but wants to be early. He ends up setting next to Kayla. Who told him she was an actuary which is a person with a lot of odd knowledge of percentages and random stats. Kayla is terrified of flying but on the way to her younger sister’s wedding and is the maid of honor. She also told Cooper how she told her family about a fake boyfriend to get her parents off her back. Kayla wasn’t really a relationship type person as she believed relationships are usually a waste of time. Cooper had held his best friend Josh as he died in his arms while in Afghanistan. When Cooper got back to the states he had seen Josh’s fiance fall apart. The woman Josh hd left behind but waiting for him. Cooper paid the extra amount to be in first class to help Kayla get through the trip. Kayla was already working on a strong drink when Cooper came up to her . But Kayla was glad Cooper was there to help her. Cooper kissed Kayla to distract her and did a little more. Cooper offered Kayla a ride to her hotel and ended up staying and they had sex for most of the night. The next morning Kayla’s mom called and first heard Cooper’s voice and the very loud phone. So Cooper agreed to be Kayla’s fake boyfriend for the wedding festivities. Kayla lets Cooper know this is not how she normally acts Then at the rehearsal dinner cooper finds out Kayla’s “uncle” Frankie is his new boss and Kayla’s dads best friend. and he isn’t happy. This was an excellent story and I loved reading it. I also read this story in one setting. I loved how Cooper love to help people and be needed but I loved even more how Kayla ended up helping Cooper. Maybe this was a little rushed on insta/ sex and insta/ feelings but in this case it didn’t seem to bother me as much. I loved the plot, the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend.

This story starts with Kayla and Cooper meeting in an airport. That's not very unusual but then he exchanges his ticket for first class - the seat beside her - and helps her through the flight because of her terror of flying. Things heat up on the plane then he goes to her hotel with her for a night of passion. Kayla wanted to stop her parents from worrying about her being single so she made up a boyfriend to get them off her back. But when she goes home for her sister's wedding, she has to make up another lie to explain why he's not with her. She told Cooper about her problem and since he has a few days before he needs to be at his new job he suggests being her fake boyfriend for her sister's wedding. Both of them like the idea because they each prefer to be on their own, neither wanting a relationship. A temporary fake relationship is perfect. Temporarily Yours is a very hot story with this couple falling into insta-lust as soon as they meet and can't get enough of each other over the few days they are together. Cooper is a buff ex-marine so who can blame Kayla for wanting him. Kayla is confident and beautiful if a bit quirky with her knowledge of random statistics for everything. If you like steamy romances then you should read this fun story.

***Review posted on The Eater of Books! blog*** Temporarily Yours by Jen McLaughlin Book One of the Shillings Agency series Publisher: Entangled Brazen Publication Date: February 3, 2014 Rating: 3 stars Source: eARC from NetGalley ***Warning: this is an adult book, and for the eyes of mature readers*** Summary (from Goodreads): This marine's the perfect hoax…if she doesn’t fall for him first. Stats whiz Kayla Moriarity knows her way around numbers and algorithms. Men, on the other hand, are unsolvable equations. Now Kayla’s en route to her sister’s wedding—alone and without the fictional boyfriend she invented for her family. Fortunately, her plane comes complete with complimentary cocktails and a ridiculously hot ex-marine in the seat beside her. And that’s all it takes for Kayla’s inhibitions to go sailing out the airlock... Cooper Shillings has soft spot for people in trouble, but he certainly wasn’t expecting to land in it himself—and definitely not while getting naughty mid-air with a sexy southern belle. When he hears Kayla’s predicament, however, he offers his services as a stand-in boyfriend. After all, he’s heading overseas soon...and how could he refuse a little no-strings wickedness? It’s the perfect plan. And all Kayla has to do is ensure her family falls for the ultimate bluff, without falling for it—and Cooper—in the process... What I Liked: Even though I'm giving this book three stars, I enjoyed the story. Jen McLaughlin/Diane Alberts is one of my favorite adult contemporary romance authors, and she hasn't really disappointed me yet. While three stars is the lowest rating I've given one of her books, I'm still quite a fan of her and her books, and I'd still recommend any number of them. This one probably wasn't her best - but that's not the worst thing ever (especially since this one was one of her oldest ones). This is the first book in the addicting Shillings Agency series. We are introduced to Cooper Shillings, an ex-Marine who is on his way to a new job in a private security firm. Awaiting the same flight in the airport is Kayla Moriarty, an actuary with a passion for numbers and being single, who is heading to her little sister's wedding. The problem is that Kayla lied to her parents and told them that she was bringing her "boyfriend"... but she doesn't have one. Cooper, who was sitting with her in the airport, offers to go to the wedding with Kayla. Neither of them are the one-night-stand types, but circumstances and fiery attraction bring them together for one steamy night together... and then another, and another. But Cooper is leaving for his new job overseas - will this fake relationship that is slowly becoming more real have a chance? Cooper and Kayla meet within the first few pages of the book. Kayla hates flying, and she's very nervous. Cooper sits next to her while they wait to board, and they start talking. Cooper upgrades his ticket to first-class when he sees how nervous she is - so he can sit with her and distract her. This leads to a rather steamy plane ride... and then night at a hotel. I liked Cooper so much; he's an ex-Marine, but he's 100% an honorable man in uniform regardless. He likes helping people, feeling like he is doing something. He hates failure, especially since his best friend Josh on-duty, and Josh's fiancee was completely crushed. I liked this book. Characters and storyline are both entertaining. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Things move faster between these two than would in real life but, hey, this is fiction right? And good fiction just takes you away. This book is good fiction!

147 pages of actual story. I enjoyed this book. The characters were likable and even though it took place over only a couple days, it was written in such a way that I was able to buy into the story line and have fun. The characters were likable and pulled me in. This isn't deep, it's just a fun little read, worth the money.
