Assigned as a Security Forces Airman, Trevor traveled the world, serving at a variety of Air Force assignments. After completing intelligence training and receiving orders to serve in Afghanistan, Trevor and his team were transiting from London to Frankfurt. They never imagined being attacked long before they landed in a war zone. On March 2, 2011, Trevor and fourteen of his colleagues in an Air Force Security Forces unit came under fire from a Muslim terrorist.

For his exemplary courage under fire, Trevor received one of Germany’s highest honors—the Cross of the Order of Merit. The U.S. Air Force also awarded him one of its highest honors—the coveted Airman’s Medal.

About the Author

Trevor Brewer is a USAF Master Sergeant who is frequently invited to speak at military events and other functions around the world to combined audiences of thousands. Brewer received one of Germany’s highest awards—The Cross of the Order of Merit—and the Airman Medal from the U.S. Air Force. He is a humble American dedicated to helping others with PTSD, and helping to defend the U.S. and other NATO countries against future acts of terrorism.

W. (William) Craig Reed is the New York Times bestselling author of Red November: Inside the U.S.–Soviet Submarine War and Spies of the Deep: The Untold Truth About the Most Terrifying Incident in Submarine Naval History. Reed is a former U.S. Navy Diver and submariner, and the co-founder of the award-winning Us4Warriors Veteran’s Foundation. Reed earned commendations for completing secret missions during the Cold War, several in concert with U.S. Navy SEAL Team One.

I just finished reading Terror in Frankfurt and found the story both compelling and heart-warming. The real-life story of US Air Force MSgt Trevor D. Brewer is inspiring, and the depiction of his tours of duty around the world as a member of the security police were both interesting and entertaining. As a former Air Force officer who served during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, I deeply appreciated MSgt Brewer’s focus on the mission, dedication to his team, and to his training, as this prepared him for that fateful day on the bus at the Frankfurt Airport in 2011. In addition, MSgt Brewer’s candid admission to suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) because of the terrorist attack sheds honest light on this important topic in our society, especially for military and first responders. A terrifically written and highly entertaining tale...well done W. Craig Reed and MSgt Brewer. I highly recommend reading this book!

Brewer and Reed’s Terror in Frankfurt is a harrowing must-read for anyone who wants to understand terrorism, the radicalization of assassins, and the roots behind it all.
