About the Author

Lilly K. Rose is a young inspiring author born with KTWS. KTWS is shortened for Klippel Trenaunay Weber Syndrome. This is a condition that affects the development of blood cells, skin, muscles, and even bones. As a child, Lilly K. Rose faced many challenges to include regular surgeries and hospital visits. While most of her peers remember their childhood riding bikes and taking swimming lessons, her memories are captured in the hospital room of Children’s of Atlanta. Although restricted from most physical activities, her imagination was quite adventurous. That’s where her love for writing and creating magical stories was developed.

Over the years Lilly K. Rose strived to share her struggles and successes from the impact of living with a chronic illness. She now has a daughter Korie who is 4 years old who she is very intentional about teaching the importance of self-love and respect for others. This new adventure in motherhood changed her focus to the current positives in her life instead of focusing solely on the hardships of the past despite her physical limitations.

Motherhood inspired Lilly to turn the course of her writing from creative poetry to children’s books. Lilly remembered her challenges with fear and self-worth as a child. That lit a fire in her soul to help other children and adults understand the value of acceptance and friendship.
