Overview

The continuation of The Anarii Chronicles. On the Sumarkh Plateau, days after leaving the Vondarii clan's summer solstice gather, held at the southern edge of the immense Lady's Lake, Hunter Tren is hurrying his Lii mount north on the western side of the lake, desperate to find his family and clan before his vision of terrible harm coming to them can manifest, but is stopped by the sudden appearance of a mysterious old man who cautions him from running blindly into greater danger, while northeast of the lake the two missing Mirii, Aza Callent, and the recovering former Teleport, Aza Kellander, are finally on the plateau, and are trying to avoid the oncoming fires from the eastern side of the lake that were set by the Seekers on the solstice, threatening their journey west and sending them with the aid of the Lii horses to a small Vondarii clan for their assistance.
