Melondy Waldrup Neal is a native of Lewisville Arkansas. She received a bachelors' of science degree in Psychology from Southern Arkansas University. She holds a master's degree in Strategic Communication (2014) from Troy University. She served in the United States Air Force as a Social Actions Specialist. Melondy is the CEO/founder of Level Seven Publishing. Her first collection of poetry Vanilla Syrup was published in 1999 continues to capture the attention of countless readers. Currently residing in Pensacola, Florida with her two sons, Melondy is a Life Coach and Empowerment Speaker.
In February 2012, Melondy was fired from her job. After seeking employment for over a year she had an epiphany that would change her life forever. Being fired was actually the push she need to spread her wings and fly to greater heights. In the Bamboo Effect she draws from her own successes and failures. How she survived being abandoned, getting a divorce, raising two sons as a single mother, having her youngest son diagnosed with Autism, losing her home in a foreclosure and literally having her belongings tossed onto the curb.
