Overview

The Best of MotorCity, Vol. 2 contains 16 selections from the vaults of Ian Levine's disco and soul label, including Chuck Jackson's "All Over the World," Kim Weston's "Case of Too Much Lovemaking," Ivory Joe Hunter's "Running Through My Fingers," Jake Jacas' "Forever in the Groove," Saundra Edwards' "Tow-Away Zone," Barbara McNair's "Talking in My Sleep" and the Monitors' "Standing Still." MotorCity never had any really big hits, but they had several interesting obscurities, a handful of which are included here amongst some entertaining filler. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
