About the Author

Binh Van Le was born on May 22, 1965, in Hoi An, Quang Nam - Vietnam.
The civil war broke out when he was just ten years old, and he had to flee with his family to the South.
He left high school to enter the Academy of Fine Arts In 1981. Five years later, he passed as valedictorian to continue studying at the University here.
He graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts in 1991.
Years later, he and his wife owned a gallery in the city center and sold their paintings to many countries worldwide.
At the end of 2001, right after the traumatic 911 incident, he, his wife, and two sons settled in the US and worked many jobs to make a living.
Viet Cosmo magazine was published in 2013, and he is responsible for editing and designing. He began writing short stories during this period and published some in this magazine. Two years later, his company went bankrupt after a years-long lawsuit and lost millions of dollars. Viet Cosmo magazine also ended there.
However, he continues to write short stories to record unforgettable events and emotions until today.
His short stories carry a standard message: Love and sacrifice are essential for people to be happy and have a peaceful society.
