About the Author

The author of seven novels and a dozen nonfiction books, Sullivan grew up in Salem, Oregon. He completed his B.A. degree in English at Cornell University under Alison Lurie, studied linguistics at Germany's Heidelberg University, and earned an M.A. in German at the University of Oregon. His adventure memoir of a 1000-mile hike across Oregon's Wilderness, "Listening for Coyote" was chosen one of Oregon's "100 Books". The novel is well-written and increasingly thrilling as [Lieutenant Ferguson] gets further over his head as he follows the clues that take him from Portland to Russia -- in addition to dealing with a new romance, work politics, and his autistic daughter. This hard-to-put book is something mystery fans should read.
