He leads her straight into the wrath of the king of the Fair Ones. Seeking a way to save herself, Ailie enters service in the Thomond court, where she finds that kings are not necessarily to be trusted. Soon she is embroiled with the invaders at a time when the fate of her land teeters between freedom and foreign domination.

About the Author

A bachelor's in English made official my love of writing, but I've been making up stories since kindergarten. Medieval history has always resinated with me as a time when belief in the supernatural was matter of fact. And magical realism continually pops up in my writing. I guess that's how I'd like to think the world worked. At the same time, I study science and have a job in healthcare. (Like all English majors, I had to get a real career.) After growing up in the heat of New Mexico and living in five other states, the climate of the Pacific Northwest is a welcome refuge. I currently reside with two dogs, four laptops, three stethoscopes and my partner.
