About the Author

Vanessa L. Jackson was awarded the honor of Best Cheesecake in Pennsylvania 2020 and 2021 by Eat This, Not That!

She is an entrepreneur, avid foodie and cheesecake connoisseur. The owner of the family operated specialty bakery, The Cheesecake Lady, she is affectionately called that more than her actual birth name.

The bakery is renowned for its upscale cheesecakes, long lines and daily sellouts. She currently owns two retail stores, one of which is located in the Philadelphia, PA suburb of Elkins Park and the other in East Beach, Norfolk, VA.

Jackson has plans of national expansion in the next few years.

Jackson is passionate about cheesecake and invites you to eat with your eyes on this visual cheesecake journey and to explore the endless creative possibilities.

With more than 20 years in the cheesecake industry and 40 amazing varieties to date, she spends most of her time dreaming about concocting her next outrageous flavor.

Jackson holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Arcadia University. She is a native Philadelphian but currently resides in Glenside, PA and Norfolk, Virginia, respectively. She has three beautiful children, (two of whom partner with her at the bakeries) and a gorgeous Maltese grand pup from Naples, Italy named Issa.
