About the Author

Miriam Therese Winter, a Medical Mission Sister, is professor of liturgy, worship, spirituality, and feminist studies and director of the Women's Leadership Institute at Hartford Seminary in Connecticut. She is author of award-winning books and songs, which include WomanWisdom, WomanWitness, and WomanWord, a trilogy of books on all the women of the Bible, and the recording Joy Is Like the Rain.
