About the Author

Clair McLafferty is a bartender turned data scientist based in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and two dogs. In 2013, she quit her office job to make craft cocktails after writing about the local scene for two years. Making drinks fed into researching them, and hundreds of articles for publications including The Washington Post, PUNCH, and The Food Network followed. She is also the author of The Classic & Craft Cocktail Recipe Book: The Definitive Guide to Mixing Perfect Cocktails from Aviation to Zombie (Rockridge Press, 2017) and Romantic Cocktails (Whalen Book Works, 2019).
