About the Author

An experienced author and broadcaster, Steve Sleight was a former Royal Yachting Association Coach and instructor at the UK's National Sailing Centre, who taught dinghy sailing, cruising, and competitive racing, both in dinghies and in cruiser/racers. He sailed a wide variety of mono-hulls and multi-hulls, from 10ft (3m) to 130ft (45m) long, and was a successful racing yachtsman and British National Champion. He died in 2016.
