850 years ago the once mighty Western Elves were fatally weakened by the sacking of Elvish Troia and then almost totally destroyed by a cataclysmic invasion of barbarian hordes that came soon after. They now remain only in scattered settlements in the Black Sea region of Anatole. The Eastern Elves hold the last of the elf cities, the magnificent mountain fortress of Elgard to the east and to the north of Anatole, but the Elves themselves are fading.
