The F.E.A.R. of the Lord
The purpose of this study is to find out what the Bible says about the fear of the Lord. We will find how the fear of the Lord can bless our life, strengthen our body, give us health, and make us wise. This book, "The F.E.A.R. of the Lord" is set up as an acronym to bring a fullness of all that the fear of the Lord can bring into our lives. "F" is for Fellowship. This section will deal with prayer, studying the Bible and how to hear God through it. "E" is for Exaltations. In every relationship, we express how we feel with our words and actions. We can exalt God by living for Him in our everyday life and testifying of His greatness to those around us. "A" is for Application. This section deals with how to apply what we have learned in His word. "R" is for Recognition. This section will discuss how to recognize God's voice, His actions, and His people. We must recognize God for who He is, what He says, and how He works so that we will revere Him. The goal of this study is to bring a better understanding of the fear of the Lord. It has been explained away with simple definitions. Some have said that it is like the honor and respect that you have for your earthly father. Others have said that you shouldn't fear Him as the boogieman, but as your Creator. Understanding the fear of the Lord is not easy when the explanations are so vague. It is more than just honor and respect; it's about a relationship with our Father. It's about intimacy with our Creator. It's about love beyond the flesh, joy without words, and peace that surpasses understanding.
