If you've tried to lose weight and have failed or gained back, this book would be for you. If you are at the start of your weight loss journey or trying for the gazillionth time, read this book first. It is full of all of the information I have uncovered over a lifetime of trying to be the healthiest and fittest version of myself.

I have been more than 50lbs overweight and I have slimmed down to a size 2. I have been to hell and back on the road of fitness and I took notes along the way. I have hired coaches, tried online fitness programs, attempted almost every diet I ever heard of, workout out multiple times a day, followed the paths of celebrities to the best of my ability and this book is a great compilation of what I learned and what worked and what didn't work.

I call this the roadmap to fitness, the first 10lbs. Always work for the first 10lbs. So often I have found myself quitting because my goal was too big. When I settled back and realized I would have the best success by working just ten pounds at a time, I realized I was way less likely to quit.

No matter how much you have to lose, I invite you to follow this roadmap to fitness and pursue your First Ten Pounds!

About the Author

I am an Emmy award winning Executive Producer and mother, who fought to figure out how to stay physically fit and healthy in a world of chaos, kids and 60-hour work weeks. I write books and create social content in an effort to help full-time working parents find their way to fitness and better health. By the time I was 33 I lost both my parents and struggled to make ends meet while trying to stay healthy and keep a positive outlook on life. I was working a lot and trying to be the ultimate mom and also seeking ways to find time to have fun. I commandeered my children, two boys who are now grown men, into a world of fit fun and ambitious adventures! We tried everything from tennis to hiking to ice skating to baseball to running and more! I’ve run over 50 races including a marathon, two half-marathons and multiple 5, 8, 10 and 15K races! I completely turned myself around from- a child who spent a lot of time as a couch potato to a full-on fitness enthusiast. I have an amazing husband who is very supportive and also holds an enthusiasm for staying fit, healthy and energetic. Together, we have committed to continue to pursue great health and be the best role models for our children as possible. I am very proud of the road I’ve traveled and I know how hard it is to work and be a parent and have a social life and sleep and maintain good eating habits and find time to workout. I have put together the best tips and tricks I have learned over the years and compiled those tips and tricks into this book. I hope it offers hope and help to those who read it!
