Chance Dupree has reached a crux in his life. He is a legendary bare-knuckle fighter, but is nearing his fortieth birthday and knows he can't compete much longer. His next fight will be his last. His entire future rests on the success of this contest. He has informed his trainer that he needs something 'extra' but he doesn't know what that could be. He also must choose between one of two relationships - one woman represents his old life of carelessness and the other demands marriage.
