It was pretty awesome if I have to say. There was lots of twist and turns that is what I liked the most about this book and the series things just fly in your face and you didn't know what was happening it was a pretty good read. Its a good reread too. If you like vampire books you should get this one. And it is so romatic too. lol

This book had me laugh, gasp, and cry. The ending of The Fury was just so sad!!!!!!! I was crying for about 10 minutes. I reccomend this to anyone who loves vampire romance books. :):):):):):):):)

The twilight series is soooo uneventful in the first book while the vampire diaries is AWSOME!!!! Edward is the most idiodic charecter ever created. He does not want to be by bella but he draws her closer all the time. Bella had absolutly no reaction to Edward. Stefan and Elena are ment to be together forever EVEN WHEN DEATH SEPERATES THEM!!! The hatered between Stefan and Damon is incredably AWSOME!!! The vampire diaries is 20 TIMES BETTER THEN THE TWILIGHT SERIES!!! THERE IS MORE ACTION LESS LOVEY DOVEY STUFF AND THE EMOTION IN THIS BOOK HAS ME CRYING EVEN AFTER THE 3rd time reading it. THE TWILIGHT SERIES HAS NOTHING ON THE VAMPIRE DIARIES!!!!

This series keeps you wondering what will happen next and i think it is hard to find stuff like that these days. This book shows a bunch of emotion most of it is sadness but some good comes out to and some triumph. I really liked the way the second part of this book was told through bonnie she picked up where elena left off after her death in the diary. Bonnie is a sweet character and i cant wait till her and matt Huck up i really hope it will be in the 5the book. hope i have helped someone in there decision to read this book but because if you thought you new what was gonna happen to elena you were wrong it us surprising and a little far-fetch but it leaves you with a good feeling. and a feeling like what the heck just happened.

The book was a good page turner, however there were a few grammitical errors in the book. I also found that the book does not follow the television series and I fee that the TV series is better.

After reading the Twilight series I yearned for more of these types of books so I purchased the Vampire diaries and was not dissappointed. Different from Twilight but a great escape from daily life. I am a middle aged woman who loves reading young adult books! I love the character, Elena and the relationship she has with her girlfriends who stick with her. It's not a deep, thought provoking read but it is action packed and a good read just to get away.

I found this book series a nice easy read... They definitely kept me interested and wondering what was going to happen... I've since found out that they are now going to make a series of these books soon... Should be interesting... Read this series if you are into the Vampire/Supernatual. You won't be disappointed

These books and charachters are great, with just enough realism and fantasy. The love story and attraction to others is real and what most people go through at one point but shows love concers all!

I first picked up this series because of the tv show, but I found that I didn't enjoy it as much. However, I found myself coming back for the next book and the next. This series is filled with unexpected twists that I love, and I always enjoy this author's books. If you read the 3rd book and think "OMG, this is b.s. and I'm not even going to read the next one", just read it. It gets better.

I bought the books because I liked the new series on WB. The books were overall exciting and much more tense than the show. Also, the show seems to stray from the book at many points. The books are almost on a different level than the show. If you do not want to have your opinion of the shows tainted wait to read the books. However, like the transition onto the screen of Harry Potter, Twilight, and Lord of the Rings, there is always room for a little straying. The books are a great read and any Vampire lover will want to read them.

I have to admit that I first encountered this series when I watched the television show. I wanted to read ahead to see what might be coming. I was really surprised with the depth of the characters and the really gripping writing. I know this is "Twilight's" year, but I think this story was far more enjoyable.

This book is amazing. I'll never forget the ending and how the characters work together for the greater good. Make sure you read The Return of the Vampire Diaries to see what happens next!

All I can say is I can not wait for The Vampire Diaries: The Return: Nightfall to be released in Feb. (2009)! The 2 books in this second book were AWESOME! I laughed and cried! I was happy and mad. Very Good! An emotional rollar coaster ride. So many twists and turns. LOTS of action. Speechless! LOVE IT!!!! Counting the days for the continuation. Damon is the bad boy you LOVE to hate!

This book adds a whole new twist to the love story and adds some bad guys that keep you on the edge of your seat.

and I'm rooting for Damon. This book is the second in the rollercoaster romance of Elena and Stephan. Elena totally defends her men against an old friend who threatens to tear them all apart. Elena kicks some major but with her new vampire self!!

Overall the book was good. There was definetly plenty of action and suspention. But all books have their ups and downs, and in my oppinion, this book has more downs.

First of all, I think that the book pregressed wway to quickly. Honestly, there wasnt that much description when it came down to the characters like Elena, Stefan, or Damon. The setting was good though. I like stories that take place in teenager-ville. lol. But I wished that the author made the characters more descriptive.

Another thing I didnt really like was how simple the writing was. I mean, this is supposed to be a creepy, dark, nightmarish love story, right? Shouldnt the vocabulary be more adaultish?

Like I said, this was my oppinion. I liked the book enough to read the 3rd and 4th, but its not my favorite series.
